We call them FOGs...football only gumps. They go on Alabama message boards and complain when the men's basketball team is getting too much attention or when actual alums or even non alums who care about multiple sports talk about investing in facility upgrades for non-football sports. Annoying fans to say the least.
On a side note, sports broadcasters and commentators can be annoying when it comes to Alabama football too. It seems as if every crew that calls an Alabama home basketball, baseball, or softball game feels obligated to mention how they don't just play football at Alabama. Nevermind the fact that Alabama men's basketball has been ranked among the Top 40 among all D1 programs in average attendance for nearly ever season in the last 50 years yet they act like nobody cares about basketball

No matter how bad people in the south want college baseball to be a big sport it never will be. Only in the states with little to nothing to do get good crowds. States north of Arkansas and Kentucky don’t even know college baseball is played

Women’s softball
All much bigger sports. College softball has crushed college baseball in viewership the last several years

Nebraska and WVU both had great crowds. Both are north of Arkansas and Kentucky.
College softball viewership is up mainly because ESPN promotes it ad nauseum but seems to hate baseball. I can honestly say that I have never watched a minute of softball.
