The BIG has been better at the top than the SEC the past few seasons, but I really don't agree that it's a stronger conference. I think the SEC has tougher week to week competition.


I'm usually interested in watching SEC games... and maybe there's a team or 2 that I don't go out of my way to watch, but I have 0 interest in watching several BIG 10 teams, including Purdue, Rutgers, Illinois, Minnesota, Northwestern, and even Indiana despite winning a natty last season. I just think they're boring and usually have no talent.

FWIW, a lot of their mid tier teams have been irrelevant for years as well, like Michigan State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, USC, Washington, Maryland, and Iowa. Some of them are interesting but have been bad for a while.
