You're a plain dumbass if you think that kids height and weight matters any more than a liberals opinion.
He's fricking 3/4 inches taller than Steven Smith and probably 40lbs heavier. And bigger than Edleman, Amendola, etc etc etc etc.
An NFL player’s dad told you in this thread why it matters for the draft. Edelman and Amendola didn’t and still wouldn’t go in the top of the first round.

Hill and Hardiman for KC are small and Isiah Mackenzie for the Bills is small.
In space, speed is more important, you got the tes for the physical work.
The NFL uses the hell out of big TE's to be physical and powerful, WR's do the finesse work.

Steve Smith was 195 pounds and tough as nails. Really bad comparison.

I'd take that skinny mofo on my team any day and twice on sundays

Maybe they should ask LSU for those stats

Don't need to be tall to push off on a CB...

My guess is he's shooting for 180lbs at Pro Day.
Wish he could take a few pounds from me lol.

Be honest you’re this angry over something that doesn’t effect you in any way because you’re hoping his measurable will give the LSU WR the nod over him. That’s the only reason possible that you could possibly be this angry over a non issue.

Tyreek Hill is 5’10”. Size is overrated by scouts.

Who cares? He has nothing to prove with measurables. The dude is really good and as a Louisiana native I am glad to see him kicking arse with a bright future. I don’t care that he went to Bama. He stayed humble, worked hard and now has a chance to play and shine in the NFL.

the NFL DBs may just break him.
Todd Pinkston survived several years in the league and there ain't no one more slight than that dude

Saban has height/weight for each position, but does make exceptions if the talent level is high enough.
Pro scouts like tall recievers, but talent comes thru over size in skill positions.

I didn’t say he would be a bust in the NFL. I’m merely saying he will likely not be able to meet the hype similar to Reggie Bush.

And 185
Being 6’1” and 175 is a bit lean.
He’s good and fast (I’d rather be fast than anything to be honest) but at some point an NFL CB is going to jam him and an NFL safety is going to hit him. Being 175 isn’t optimal for that.
That being said, he’s going to have a really good career.

It will not effect anything by draft day but I do think he's being told not to report his weight at this point in time because he's lighter than even most light wide receivers.

6'1 170
He had an official scout verified height and weight of "6-foot 1/4 inch (or 6002 in scouting parlance) and 170 pounds" last year.
He let them do all of the hand, arm, wingspan measurements at a senior bowl he did not even need to attend. But, he likely wants to add weight being 2 weeks out of the season.
This is the biggest non-story I've ever seen. He will do another height and weight before the draft.
It is no different than QBs electing not to throw at combines, players opting out of the 40 yd dash, etc. Until their own pro day, if they do it at all. It happens all the time.
If the only knock on Smith's draft metrics is weight, it is a business decision, and a smart one, to decline at the senior bowl and take one at a scheduled pro day later.
