The Notre Dame media bias hasn’t been a thing in over 20 years.

It seems like the last 5-6 years or so Notre Dame always finishes ahead of their preseason ranking and surpasses or matches the Vegas win O/U.

Now that Brian Kelly is gone, Notre Dame is definitely overrated.

Their head coach has an all-time coaching record of 0-1.

Look no further than their last national title game appearance and their two appearances in the CFP.

Because of past poor coaching they lose big games vs Alabama, Clemson etc

Brian Kelly is on record in post game press conferences saying his Notre Dame talent wasn’t the issue

Daniel,

Have you ever considered asking the Help Board how you can fix your teeth? I know you’re a regular on that board.

Nobody can help you grow over 5’7” but I’m sure someone can at least offer some dental suggestions.

Do you expect BK to shite-talk his player's talent level immediately after a loss?

Notre dame beat Clemson.

So outside of the miracle last year, this also refers to diet Texas. Lol

You mean the 3 games where they were 10-17 point underdogs?

How is losing games you’re expected to lose being overrated?

They play a weak schedule and by the time bowl/post season hits, they get exposed. Since 2000, they are 6-11.

Because they somehow start in top 10 every year yet can rarely win the big game. They get brown-nosed the entire preseason by the media because so many Notre Dame alumni work in the media....and they also get a little boost from the Catholics.

Very simple.

Edit: Also forgot to mention that Notre Dame got sodomized by the Ole Miss Rebels in 1977. The Irish were favored by 21 points and had Joe Montana at QB. Ole Miss was an absolute dog shite of a football program in the 70s. At that time Notre Dame was the Goliath of College Football, and Ole Miss was the David.

This is actually kinda true. Some of the alumni were a bit disappointed but the students literally had a celebration when the news broke.

Notre dame is the 7th most overrated team since 1989. Slightly less than LSU but slightly more than Nebraska:

Who expected them to win those games? I don't think you understand how this works.

And they’re 4-4 in the last 10 years.

They’ve won far more games as underdogs than they’ve lost as favorites these last 5-6 years.

Because they are, typically. They have often enjoyed the benefit of the doubt because their schedule is littered with names that were big years ago and still sounds intimidating.

Then they make the playoff/championship game after running through a regular season and immediately gets decimated.

They haven't won a NY6 bowl since the 90s.
Bowl wins since 1995:
2008 Hawaii Bowl
2010 Sun Bowl
2013 Pinstripe Bowl
2014 Music City Bowl
2018 Citrus Bowl

BCS Title/Playoff games:
2012 vs Alabama - lost by 28
2018 vs Clemson - lost by 27
2021 vs Alabama - lost by 17

Last 20 bowl games:
6-14 record

Of those 6 wins:
Ranked (14th) ND defeats an unranked Iowa State

14th Notre Dame beats 16th LSU by 4

Unranked Notre Dame beats 22nd LSU by 3

25th Notre Dame beats unranked Rutgers

UR ND over UR Miami

UR ND (with Jimmy Clausen and Golden Tate) beats UR Hawaii

Not terribly impressive, yet we still see them getting the nod for playoff births and postseason accolades, year after year.

As of 2020 ND was the 7th most overrated program over a time frame from 1989 to 2020. They don't have 2021 in yet (which will help a LITTLE, as they were +1, but then you look at their schedule and you have to ask why on earth they finished 8th).
