Reminds me of Casey Anthony.
How someone can be so selfish is beyond comprehension. I can't imagine leaving my child unsupervised for a few hours much less 10 days.

You live in an Oasis in a desert of shite.
Madison, Oxford, Tupelo, Olive Branch, and the coast are the only nice places to live in Mississippi. Everywhere else is an absolute shithole.
Also, I was born/raised in Mississippi and lived in Madison, Ridgeland, Flowood, Grenada, and Oxford.....so there's nothing I haven't seen around here.
I left Mississippi after college and lived in numerous states across America for my job. I moved back to Mississippi in 2019 to take advantage of the low cost of living. Looks like I'll be getting the f*ck outta here again when cost of living and property taxes go up. Most houses here are cheaply made(Worst building codes in America) and it's not worth staying if it costs the same as a better built home in another state with more shite to do.
re: Question for Zyn users and other nicotine pouch users: Do you get nausea out of the blue?
Posted by lockthevaught on 3/25/25 at 10:45 am
You probably have better nicotine absorption in your upper lip and get hit with some mild nicotine poisoning.
Also, a lot of it probably has to do with your fluid intake and how much you've eaten.

re: Are Skating Rinks a thing of the past?

All of the ones in Mississippi disappeared.
A certain demographic started taking over the rink on Saturday nights, and the other demographic stopped going.

I pulled 3 bodies out of rubble in Mississippi Friday night and did search/rescue til 5am in the morning....and I cut up 3 or 4 oak trees with my chainsaw to clear the road.
Also I implemented a network of tower cameras across the South that the NWS uses. We spotted an unwarned tornado on Saturday and the NWS used that to issue a warning before the storm hit a town. Had we not had that camera in place, that storm would've remained unwarned.
My group is a designated non profit and it has the same status as any other official non profit. We get thousands of dollars in donations, we have over 100 sponsors, and every penny we generate on our social media channels goes towards paying for new skycams and maintaining our existing ones. We also received grant from State of Mississippi to expand our camera network, and we are currently working with multiple senators to get more funding. We have to pay the internet, pay for the cameras, and pay tower climbers to install each one. Maintaining our skycams is not cheap. We let the NWS, local new stations, the communities, and EMA's use our cameras for free.
I pay my taxes but I should at least receive deductions for buying gas to support an official non-profit org. I spend thousands of dollars a year just on gas, first aid supplies, and equipment

We don't get paid because all of our social media monetization goes to paying for our skycams. Without chasers there is no group.....and I'm one of the main chasers. My live streams and my footage directly generate funds for the organization. Its not just a hobby.
I would think I should be able to at least save my gas receipts that I get while I'm storm chasing.

I'm not getting paid to do it and Im not 1099.
Its all out of the goodness of my heart haha.
I directly contribute to the non profit org's mission of informing the public and saving lives.

I storm chase for a non-profit organization. Would I be able to use my gas receipts and other chasing expenses as a tax write-off?

Those beads are pretty f*cking cool.
My ancestors died fighting for the confederacy.
My last name almost died off due to the war, luckily my 3rd great grandfather got his wife pregnant before he left for the war. He died when my 2nd great grandfather was 2 months old. He got killed fighting an group of Yankees from Minnesota infantry in the Battle of Nashville and his body is buried in an unmarked mass grave with a few thousand confederate bodies.

Kwik Trip and Fleet Farm car wash is the best car washes around. Getting a season pass is a must have to keep the salt off your car.
Also Menards is by far by favorite home/hardware store in America. Nothing else comes close.

COBOL isn't hard to figure out. Its very similar to pascal.
All object-oriented languages aren't hard to learn.
AI should be able to easily convert the code for them.

A lot of churches wreak of grifting money making schemes. I agree with you
I have family members that are preachers and own Churches.
They live a very luxorious lifestyle and take advantage of simple North Mississippi people.
They are very similar to the Gemstone family in "The Righteous Gemstones".
I can't give them my money knowing they'll go buy a fishing boat, new deer stand, or go on vacation with it in a few months.

Exactly. It was beneficial back in the day when majority of the population was illiterate or couldn't read translations of the Bible.
In 2025, I don't need some glorified car salesman or celebate man to read the Bible for me and don't need the Church for me to make a positive impact on the community.

I only read the Bible and pray at home. I don't believe in going to Church.
