The University of Missouri has received allegations of potential academic rules violations by a former tutor in the Athletics Academic Services area. Consistent with our commitment to rules compliance and to operating our athletics program with integrity, we are conducting a review of the allegations. We also have informed the NCAA who is working with us on this matter. To protect the integrity of the review process, we will not comment further at this time.

I would like to make it clear at the outset that I have been contacted by the University of Missouri administration about assuming an oversight role in establishing a compliance program and helping them navigate through the coming turmoil.
Upon great thought and consideration about the matter, I have declined this position. It has come to my attention that ConcernedStudent1950 and other groups on campus are linked to the Pizzagate scandal. As a result, it is fully expected that the athletic department and potentially the university overall will be the subject of federal investigations. The university will abandon all athletics beginning Spring 2017. No information is currently available regarding the academic portion of the university. In light of these facts, it would not be prudent to become associated with the University of Missouri at this time.
