I think OU and Texas are going to nicely round out this conference and give the SEC an amazing recruiting footprint; all the football hotbeds, barring California, will lie in SEC territory.
Their success on the basketball court will also be much welcome in making the SEC the best basketball conference too. Not to mention the $$$ they’ll bring to the conference as well

Hey man I also really enjoy playing bordering state teams in Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Kentucky (particularly since I’m in the boot heel area). The SEC is in an amazing place right now.

I’ve always liked expansion, it intrigues me.
This is really though just a high stakes game of
musical chairs. Oklahoma, Texas, SC, and UCLA making sure they have a place when the music stops.
With NIL and ease of transfer. The Big time confs are basically trying to get to a super level. This may work out for smaller leagues, if the Big guys are more semi pro like, with say 64 teams. They , the smaller leagues, can settle back to just providing a traditional amateur option for student athletes.
We may get to 2 - 24 team leagues; but that’s got to happen soon; the ACC GOR to ‘35 is a huge obstacle for that league; but they could re negotiate if they can somehow get ND full time. Notre Dame is in a can’t lose situation, but holds the direction of college sports in their hands basically. If the Big 10 can entice them, then the ACC is a sinking ship.
B12-PAC is about to implode imo. Half of those schools are about to not have a chair.

It’s a conundrum.
Texas has an influx of Californians and it’s diluting “Texas”.
The sec is adding ou, Texas along with aggy and Mizz. …..dilution.
Goodbye sec.

What it does is solidify the sec as being the absolute top dogs. No other conference comes close to the sec. Yes the big ten added usc and ucla, but let’s not pretend they are in the same group as Texas and Oklahoma. Specifically regarding the support from fans.

I love it for Arkansas, we needed some more regional opponents. I went to Tulsa for the Arkansas/OU game and it was a great atmosphere. Really looking forward to playing them and Texas home and home in basketball.

They will form a conference and play against teams from CUSA or the Sunbelt.

Everyone talks about 64 teams, but hell there isn't even 30 teams that I would say our legit teams that draw interested.(Football only)
I would prefer quality than quantity.

is it really still the Southeastern Conference when you have 4 teams from Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas??

Is it still the Big 10 when they have 16 teams?

Big 10 map in 24, uscw/ucla will get frequent flyer miles. I think it will hurt their recruiting.
