I certainly feel that way about Auburn. Freeze's second year. They say those are usually much better than the first.

Pretty good upgrade at many positions of huge need. A very good group of receivers. Thorne's second year.

I have absolutetly no idea how they will play this year.

How do you guys feel about your teams?

Figured Bama fans would definitely be in the same boat with a new staff and all.

The whole team? No. The defense, yes.

Thus far in the off-season, the secondary is studying the wrong kind of film if they want to improve.

There is a good chance Mizzou is going to make the playoff this coming season.

What is it you don't get? Most experts have Mizzou making the playoffs

Everything looks good on paper. Need to see it translated to execution.

It was eye opening when we got Drew Sanders from Bama. Here’s a guy who has trouble getting playing time there and he’s a freak here. Clearly our best most talented defensive player. We don’t get that type of player here and Bama and Georgia have them all over the field.

Many teams will have good players but be middle of the pack because of talent disparity.

Beamer should be awarded CotY if he goes 5-7 with this team.

No there isn’t.

Question about the Vols has to be the back 7 on defense. They brought in so portal guys and have a high ceiling freshman at safety but they have never played together. If the passing D and 3rd down D is there the team can beat anyone

That is why coaching is the next thing that needs to get it done in order to have a championship team. Some teams are not going to make it because it is either the lack of top players all over the roster and/or lack of coaching them to their ability.

Another brand new OC and another brand new QB transfer from UGA.

Id say yeah, we have some question marks that need answering.

OP, of course you do. You are an Auburn fan. See the old SEC Shorts on being an Auburn fan.

We have the opposite problem. We know we will win 7 or 8. Been a rare season when we have been below that or above it.

I'd wager every single team is a question mark until the helmets are on and pads start slapping. Yes, that includes the teams all the "experts" expect to be dominating the rest of CFB.

You can coach players up to their potential, but all the coaching in the world isn’t going to make them faster and taller and bigger and give them athleticism and talent on top of that.

That’s what I was getting at. You should know by watching burden play. He’s one of the reasons for the wins last year. You’ll miss him next year.

It hurt us when Burks left.
