Going from Saban (GOAT) to a guy who’s been a head coach at the P5 level for three years. Who was a coordinator at Indiana only 5 years ago.

“But but look at his win numbers”! The level he won those “titles” at is worse than Texas high school football. Don’t believe me?

Here’s their stadium:

And their coordinators? Have zero SEC coaching experience. How many Bama fans knew who Nick Sheridan was 6 months ago?

“But it’s Kalens offense!” No, it isn’t. Saban tried hiring Grubb away and an NFL franchise did the same. They knew who ran the offense. The melt when 8-4 happens will be glorious

I can’t blame LSU fans for not wanting to talk about LSU.

Who mentioned Kelly? Kelly has had double digit wins the last seven seasons in a row.

And yet still has a career winning percentage of .500 against ranked teams.

That Bama melt would be far less than some fans of other teams if he wins the SEC, and the collective "oh shite, it just keeps going" feeling sets in.

Good times either way. Who doesn't like a good message board meltdown?

I love the fact that the absolute floor for our program is essentially the ceiling for yours under Brian Kelly.

Bama currently has the #1 recruiting class for 2025 and had the #2 class in 2024 behind Georgia.

I'm not sure when this steep drop-off will occur, or why LSU fans are trying to convince themselves it will happen immediately.

Also the very reasoning they use to convince themselves of why Kelly will succeed ("he's won everywhere he's been!!1!11!!!") somehow doesn't apply to DeBoer, who's also won everywhere he's been.

I’m thinking 8-4 the first season to get the kinks out is realistic. We’ll start out of the gate ok, lose some mid season, then start playing better ball the last 1/3. That’s IF we stay healthy.
Season 2-4 is gonna decide if DeBoer is the real deal or not.
If he comes out 9-3 or 10-2, watch the frick out!

How can 8-4 be the ceiling for LSU under Brian Kelly when he's exceeded that in every season at LSU?

Are you actually retarded?

Also, to OP, Bama will be fine but Bama fans also would have melted if you told them they'd have these coaches a year ago.

Actually, if you told me this time last season that Saban would retire at the end of the season and Alabama would hire the guy that played in the national title game, had the #1 and #2 offense the last 2 years at Washington, AND he would recruit well at Alabama, I'd be a happy guy. I didn't expect it to work out this well.

As for the first season, I wouldn't be surprised at 8-4 the first season, considering Milroe struggles in the passing game. I think 9-3 is more likely.

edit: as for coordinators, if they don't work out DeBoer will replace them, same as Kelly did at LSU.

Show us where you had Washington not only making the playoffs last year, but playing in the national championship game.
