I guess LSU fans will get sad watching the Pear head to NC State to make them juggernaut’s in the ACC.

That really is amazing, still most impressed that 14 made it in a single year. What’s the prior record for a conference in one year? Either by teams or as percentage to adjust for conference growth (note: 0.875 of SEC teams made it this year).

Every sport needs a conference shitbird.

Like Purdue football.

Is impressive. Just 9 years ago the SEC had only 3 bids. There are top tier coaches all over the Conference and lots of $$$ backing the teams and conference now.

The SEC set a new record by placing 14 of its 16 teams in the NCAA Tournament bracket, besting the previous mark of 11 set by the Big East in 2011 when it also had 16 members. By percentage (87.5%), the SEC's NCAA Tournament haul is also the best ever, topping the 77.7% mark posted when the nine-team Big East put seven schools in the 1991 bracket.

That's impressive. There has to have been a team out of those 14 schools to play or win a national championship. Right? One of the schools could not let down the SEC and not at least play for the championship?

It would be like an SEC team making a trip to Omaha and failing to win it all (Arkansas). Or a team not making it to the National Championship in the CFP especially when having a first and goal from the 1 and giving up a TD to the other team (Texas).

It would be crazy right?

If failure = not playing in the national title game then everyone in the SEC has been a failure every single season of their basketball existence other than Kentucky (a bunch), Florida (3x), Arkansas (2x), Oklahoma (1x).

The goal is to win a championship. I don't think it is a goal for any coach or player going into the season and say " let's go one and done in the NCAA tournament" lol.

Times like this is when I’m glad I don’t care about basketball. Because my tigers really do suck booty cheeks in men’s basketball these days.

I think heading into this season, our teams #1 most realistic goal, was to make the NCAA tournament, and they accomplished that goal. Now, UGA is playing with house money
