I don't know why Missouri fans get so defensive about this statement. Y'all have to admit the SEC is not the logical conference for you? The state is not classified as a "southern" state. It is more Midwest than anything. The Big 12 was the logical choice and technically the Big10 makes more sense.

Recruiting in any sport is hard. It's not like a football player that is from the south and being targeted by LSU, Bama, Fla, UGA, Texas is going to choose Missouri over those schools?

It just makes sense for Missouri to be in Big 12 or Big 10.
Is captdalton wife (or family) happy with captdalton? Probably not since he averages about 10 posts a day since joining and neglects his other duties. That is the real reason he is asking this. BK must have fricked his wife.

I'm not injecting my own feelings into this. I told you how the perception is going to be by others including black people who are fans of the show. You just want to stick your head in the ground and say it won't affect anything when it does.

No one is questioning the age of the actor playing Snape. What they are saying is that the age did not matter. When the original actor of Dumbledore died and he was replaced by someone younger, it never changed the story.

Changing the race ( by the way not just a superficial change like changing hair or eye color) completely changes the story line. Seeing a privileged white boy bully and harass a black kid bc he is "different" will have racial undertones. Or if seeing a black kid with a white girl and that girl family does not want her to see him bc he is "different" will have implied racial undertones.

Like I mentioned in another thread, black fans of HP are saying this could change the perception of James and Harry. Snape background is not explored until book 5. So leading up to season 5, Harry does not trust Snape bc he thinks he is "evil". I doubt this series gets to season 5. So if they make any changes to show that Snape was bullied for something else or Harry trusts Snape, then yes they made changes to the story.
If LSU is in top 4, they will most likely have a top 8 seed. The SEC is so dominant, they should be well represented in Omaha.
Found one of the big pussies who does not understand how sports work.

If LSU is losing in any sport no matter the inning or quarter, a bunch of people will complain and say how the coach is horrible and needs to be fired.

If LSU ends up winning, they are gone. It is what it is.
Even black people who are fans of Harry Potter are saying this is a dumb decision. It is bc of the complicated character of Snape. The first four books (and films) show that Snape has a disdain for Harry and Harry is suspicious of Snape. Black people are saying now it could be interpreted as Harry and James being racist. Bc Snape was picked on bc of his looks.

The hatred is bc they are changing the race of a character that immensely complicated and has a huge backstory that is relevant to Harry Potter. The change is completely unnecessary. If they had race swapped other characters ( Hagrid, Lupin, Wormtail) it would not be as big. But a character like Snape is now going to change a lot of the perception for other characters and therefore changing the story.
The character sucked and did not matter who played the character. There was a meaningless "mission" that added nothing to the plot. That is why the character and not the actress is hated.

She must not be a good actress bc basically all her work since SW has been mainly voice acting roles. I would be more upset about that than anything. She only seems to be good for her voice to be heard but for her to not be seen.

The Saints have not drafted any mid round QB that was worth anything. If going to draft a QB, draft in the first round and build around him. Say he is the franchise QB. If not, don't draft a QB at all and just use free agent QBs.

I don't think Sanders is worth the pick at 9. If a team wants to move up, the Saints should do that and move down in the first round and get additional picks. If Dart is the QB, draft him in late first round.
Is this your goal in life to start the shittiest threads on a message forum? Bc if it is, you are hitting the goal.
It's rare that a player stays his whole career on one team in baseball. Having the Green Monster to play half the games will not hurt him at all.
I took my son last August to Boston to see Astros play as part of his high school graduation gift. Seeing Fenway was great. Had a great view of the field. Saw Bregman get back on the bus and yelled " Geaux Tigers" to him. He smiled and waved back. Lots of LSU fans there too. Nice area and the accents were thick.

Don't wear any Altuve jerseys or you will get harassed by the Red Sox fans. They hate him with a passion.
You made a comparison to a book series that half the people who watched GOT when it came out had no idea it was a book series. Look at how many reaction videos there were for The Red Wedding.

No one bitched about it bc no one knew. Practically everyone regardless if they read the books or not knows who Snape is. It is not even the same comparison.

The first 2 movies followed the books closely. In the first movie things that were omitted were Peeves and the other ghosts around Hogwarts. Neville standing up to Harry, Ron, and Hermione was shortened. Other than that it was pretty much the same as the book. The book was not a huge book as far as pages.

From the 4th book thru the 7th book, the films should have been 2 movies each as a lot was cut out. That is where the differences will be seen. I doubt they get 4 seasons as the audience may not be there.
It will be interesting to see a black Snape call Voldemort " My Lord" and the "Dark Lord"
I do not see this series as lasting to cover all the books. The biggest character to fill is Harry and they have to get that part right. Then basically make sure that kid does not take any other roles.

Maybe can get to 4 but I doubt it. Might not have the audience.
Here is the big thing. The readers were not aware that Harry dad bullied Snape until the 5th book. So Snape hating Harry is going to seem like it is from a racist point of view. Are they going to go off book in the first season and say that James was bullying Snape and Snape was in love with Lily?

If they do that, then they are changing the story to fit their narrative. Changing a character in any form is a bad idea. Why do you think so many people hate the Star wars sequels in particular The Last Jedi? They destroyed Luke Skywalker character to fit their narrative. Took away 40 years of character development and story bc it did not fit their image.
