Which fanbase on this webpage has the most sidewalk and/or bandwagon fans (alter trolls included).
I know LSU and Alabama have a lot
I know A&M has at least one.
Are the rest of the fanbases mostly alumni or are other fanbases similar?

I may troll from time to time, but I am not an alter and I did get a degree from MSU.

Any good team is going to have a lot of sidewalk fans. I think UGA is up there with Bama and LSU.

Georgia has a lot. Arkansas and Tennessee as well.
The sidewalkers in Florida have a lot of schools to choose from, so surprisingly the Gators don't have as many as one would initially think.
I'd say:
1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. Georgia
4. Tennessee
5. Arkansas
6. Kentucky, obviously factoring in their basketball sidewalkers
For all the shite I talk about TAMU, I only know one person (not counting Daniel) who I'd consider a Sidwalking Aggie.

Whoever is winning has the most sidewalk fans. Trust me, there were no Bama sidewalk fans during the Dubose or Shula years.
Miami had a huge fanbase in the 80's, USC had a huge fanbase in the early 2000's, etc.
With success comes the casual flunkie fans.

Since you are open about your sidewalking, what makes you such a fan without having attended your university?
For most decent sidewalkers, it’s a family thing.

That’s true, but I feel like LSU has a lot of sidewalk fans even when they are not that good.
Ole Miss actually had a lot of sidewalkers in real life, but not on this web page.

Looks like you answered your own question.

Bama by far. There were basically no Bama fans outside of AL before 2009, now you see them in every SEC state. I see a ton of Bama stuff in southern Mississippi and Tennessee for instance. Weak, front-running fanbase

I'll gladly welcome all to Tiger Nation

quote:I think the bandwagon for our football team was set ablaze a while back but we do have a ton of people in the state of Arkansas who are fans because there really isn't anybody else. When the Razorbacks are good everyone buys their t-shirt and calls the Hogs. When the Razorbacks are bad and everyone stays home and bitches on message boards.

I'd say only about 20% of our fans are alumni which is not surprising when you consider that only around 25% of our state has obtained a Bachelors degree or higher.
In regards to this board - I don't know and I really don't care. As long as they want the Razorbacks to win ever game then they are fans.

UF has alot especially with Miami and FSU in the toilet.
Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville are all Gator strongholds.

The number of A&M fans who are not either former students or have direct ties to them is extremely small.

The time period between 2000-2009 made sidewalk Aggies (or as we call them "t-shirt" Aggies) an endangered species.

I dont get the negative stigma behind being a sidewalk fan.
I'm not affiliated with the Saints in any way yet I'm still a fan of them too. College athletics stopped being about the academic side a long time ago.
Also, kids usually become a fan of a certain school (like I did) but may not go there for whatever reason.
Sidewalk fans and bandwagons are two different things, Bama has a ton of bandwagoners that don't know shite about Alabama.

I disagree. There are hardly any VOLS sidewalk fans anymore. Its pretty much only true fans left at this point.
