Upvote to retain him, downvote to show his arse the door.

Unless we win the SEC tournament (probably even if we do win it) Fox should be fired. His body of work is not good enough to keep his job. Don't care what all the analysts say. You can't coach 9+ years at a power 5 program and not win an NCAA tournament game.

At one point today Yante Maten grabbed the white board and was drawing up plays for the team.
I'm not saying that's a good thing or bad thing for Fox, I'm just saying hire Yante

Okay, so who do y'all want to see take the job. I know i will be in the minority given his baggage, but i say make a run at Pitino. If we can't get him or there is too much smoke around him, i say Fred Hoiberg. Sure, he hasnt worked out with the bulls, but he had Iowa State on the same level as Kansas. We eould be lucky to land him imo

Even if we would persue Pitino, which we won't, would he even take the job? I don't think he would even take the phone call.

So youre saying we shouldnt even pursue it? Sure, he might not be interested, but it would be dumb to not take 3 minutes to give him a shout and take his temperature on it. He can only say no or not return the call...nbd

Well, my statement was not as much about what we will do as it was about what he will do. I do not think we would but, even if we did, I don't think he would even entertain the idea.

The win today is like putting perfume on a hog. It doesn't help.

The yesses need to state a reason why.

Pitino is total poison at this point. UGA leadership wouldn't dare soil themselves with his reputation, nor should they open the AD to that kind of scrutiny when there are other options.

Absolutely not. I would go nowhere near Pitino.

Thoughts haven't changed. He still can't develop a guard to save his life

If by some miracle we win it and make a run in the real tournament, that's the only way he keeps his job

We will have to find an up-and-comer. Hoiberg won't come here. He could get a top 10 job.

No, we should not pursue Pitino. He’s a scumbag in every sense of the word.

Not with that attitude he won't....
I think he's a longshot for sure, but I do think we shouldn't not take a swing at it. There aren't a lot of "top 10" jobs that look to be opening up just yet - nabbing him prior to the FBI chaos coming to a conclusion would be a great option... lockdown a big enough buyout on him for the first 3 years and give him a long term 6-7 year contract to start at least... On the upside, he'd be pretty confident that there is a zero percent chance that UGA is caught up in any scandal/probation stuff and he can get to work recruiting against the programs that find themselves in hot water.
Ultimately, it is highly unlikely to be Hoiberg, but I'd hate to see us not at least make the call... that's like not hitting on the hot girl at the bar because you're worried she's out of your league. Don't be a beta... worst thing that happens is she says no...
