Me too. I've never had problems or been treated overly nice. Worst I can think of is getting yelled at in auburn and baton rouge but it was like three or four dudes and an API fan refusing to sell me a ticket because I was wearing a Bama hat (dude should probably be commended for his loyalty). 99% of the people at either school treated me like I treat visiting fans. Ignoring

You do realize the girl in this tweet didn't attend the game and heard about it from one of her friends that went. If true, it's unacceptable. Based on the fact that it's complete hearsay, and we have no idea how drunk her friends were, I have a harder time believing it

People who write letters like this are pathetic.

I had lunch with an Auburn fan/friend on Saturday. We were talking about the rivalry and such. She was just as nervous about the game as me (maybe more). I offered to rub her shoulders to calm her down- then I choked her out. DSOR, bitch!

They forgot to mention their poor choice of headgear...

Using the term "grown men" was an obvious attempt to demonize the GA fans while making the readers subconsciously ascribe some sort of innocence/vulnerability to the sorority girls involved in order to play up the actual threat. The use of that type of loaded terminology just makes me think they're exaggerating any incidents in order to gain sympathy.

Went to Athens for our game this year and no issues.
Then again, I wasn't in a group out drinking either but had no issues in the game.

We're on a tight schedule on this board. not much time for differentiation

We went and had no real issues, and I've admittedly had a handful of issues before.
Some AU friends I know said it got a little dicey at the bars afterwards, but it was more just a ton of really really drunk people than any specific type of animosity. FWIW my UGA friends with them said they also felt a little edgy about how drunk everyone was, which isn't uncommon in Athens for a night game.
The only thing that annoyed us was when our mixed group could not get service at South Kitchen (old Capital Room). An Auburn guy a the bar (hardly drinking, very reserved) told me while we were waiting that the main bartender was just refusing to serve Auburn people. We eventually talked to someone managing the place, and after the guy was thoroughly berated by one of our UGA girls, things got better. If it were up to me I would have told the hipster bartender we'd take our several hundred bucks elsewhere, but the cold and crowds kept us there.
Tolerance for "we don't serve yall, hahaha" is whatever, but some fricking grungy bartender who doesn't know UGA's record just outright ignoring people really got under my skin.
But anyway, like I said, no real problems.

I've been to just about every SEC stadium and never had anything close to this happen. What am I doing wrong?
