The Jeff Anderson & Chris Hester College Football Computer Rankings placed Oregon at the top, ahead of Ohio State and Notre Dame, reigniting debate over whether the College Football Playoff truly determines the best team.

OREGON named National Champions for 2024

Hey, that's how Bama won most of its titles. Can't disagree.

It also perfectly explains the last 10 times BAMA and Georgia got together.

It's legit, boy!

UGA was the CONSENSUS national champion, went to the Rose Bowl and beat UCLA.

Ohio St didn't even go to a bowl game and the AP poll at that time wasn't near as exclusive as some of the other NCAA-recognized polls of which the majority of them voted for UGA, not Ohio State.

We should also claim 1927 and 1946, tell Illinois and Notre Dame and the early 20th century yankee media to eat shite.

If only Ohio State and Oregon had played in a postseason game then we would know who the real national champion is.

Anderson & Hester is the most accurate of all the NCAA-authorized systems

Looks like the 4th time that is Computer Poll has had a different #1 than the NCAA BCS or Playoff Winner, and first of the Playoff Era.

2008 Utah
2011 LSU
2024 Oregon

Hopefully the Ducks hang the banner and print the t-shirts and send them off to Ethiopia for that population to wear around

Would be funny if they UCFd it

Any system that has OR over OSU this season is on drugs. OSU lost by 1 at OR because their QB forgot to slide

On a neutral field OSU gave Oregon arguably the biggest beating of any playoff team

All 3 of ole miss' "national titles in football" were given to them by some bs second-rate systems in the early 60s as well. There were 2 major wire service polls at the time that were unanimously recognized polls.. the coaches poll and the ap poll...neither of them named ole miss national champs in any of their claimed "national championship seasons". But hey, we expect them to claim whatever they can bc of being who and what they are..."The 2003 sec west champions". Lol, What a joke.
