LSU was picked 14th last season and finished 7th.
Picked 14th this season and will finish higher than the projection. They have more talent this season than last, and McMahon is a pretty solid coach.

There was a complete overhaul this offseason following John Calipari’s move to Arkansas, with Pope assembling a new staff and roster including nine transfers and three freshmen. However, Ken Pom Preseason Rankings having Kentucky ranked #42 is even more mind boggling.
