To'oTo'o being this successful in the league was not on my bingo card. Just further proof Golding had no damn clue what he was doing.

Mine either. We all said he was too slow to be OUR LB lol.

Wonder what the deal is with Metchie...a healthy scratch for the first 2 weeks. Trade possibility. Heck, let him go to Carolina and be their WR3 since he has familiarity with Bryce. Couldn't ask for much in a trade since he's unproven in the NFL.

Caleb better learn quick to protect himself in the NFL. He is a good size dude but you can only take so much punishment.

He wasnt slow, he just missed tackles too often. He wasnt very physical. Same with Harris.

If I’m an NFL Qb, I’m probably gonna call in a sick day if I got to go against #51. He is so awesome!

I would also never want to be tackled by Reuben Foster!

At least he doesn't have to get hit and sacked a thousand times a Sunday for the foreseeable future.

Probably good for him...he can sit back and learn which is what they use to do to new/young qbs.

Disagree. He's not getting that job back. Dalton is not a good QB but he's gonna look better than Bryce just because of his experience. It will confirm in most people's minds, incorrectly in my opinion, that Bryce was the problem. And so they'll draft a new QB next year and Bryce will be done in Carolina. He's going to go down as one of the biggest draft mistakes in history and he doesn't deserve it because no one could have succeeded in his situation.

I don’t see where they had any choice. Is what it is.

Yep. Especially since they gave up so much to get him and Stroud at no.2 looks so good (though he has better supporting cast and coaches).

I hope he gets a chance with another team. He’s a good guy and a smart player. Plenty of teams love backup QBs like that. Maybe he’ll turn it around but it has to be with a good coaching staff for that to happen

And the weirdo LSU fans flock to the nearest thread to say "Worse than Jamarcus Russell" blah blah blah. Young was in way over his head and that isn't a lot because he's a short dude. If you're going to be that short in the NFL as a QB you have to be athletic and I don't think BY has enough. I hate it for him because I really like him as a person, but going overall #1 was a terrible pick by the Panthers and even the most die hard Bama fan could have seen that.

Stroud would be exactly as dogshit in Carolina as Bryce has been. It didn't matter who they picked nobody was succeeding in that dumpster fire.

Bryce has $28 million whether he becomes a star or rides the bench. I'm sure he wants to do better. I think they'll sit him a couple of games and then give him a starting shot one more time. That's a big investment to flush after 1 season.

I'm glad he went #1 for his sake money wise, but I wouldn't have given up what Carolina did to do it. Bryce looked small out there in college...went to a Panthers game vs the Saints last year and he looks absolutely miniscule in the huddle. He looks more like 5'9, 175 lbs or something. Of course, his size was obvious. His arm is adequate, but not a cannon. His real talent was in his processing speed and accuracy. Not sure where that went. Yeah, the NFL is bigger and faster and all that, but I'd really like to know what's going on because he looks like he's never played QB before.

QB is such a crap shoot in the NFL. The best players of the last 20 years - Brady, Rodgers, and Mahomes, all went to well run teams with good players around them.

Brady would probably never be a household name if Bledsole hadn't gotten hurt. He had the best defense for the next decade and played most of his career with the best TE in NFL history.

Rodgers got to sit behind Favre for a couple years and learn. He had the same coach for the next decade.

Mahomes got to sit for a year behind a good QB and then take over for a successful team with a Hall of Fame coach and one of the best tight ends ever.

Young went to a terrible team with no plan on how to get to the playoffs. He has no talent around him.

Meanwhile CJ Stroud went to a team with a plan and talent around him. If he had gone to Carolina he'd have stunk it up too.
