Gamecocks win 7-1, take the series 2-1. That gives us a sweep of the mens big 3 sports this season! Losing the first one sucks, but I think this team has some pieces. I think as this team goes it will get better. Friday night pitching has to be better, but I love that Mahoney only gave up 1 despite pitching a C+ game

I'm concerned about our weekend starters but we do have quality depth. Our offense is feast or famine and that doesn't bode well for SECplay. We also make fielding errors that's going to bite them. Clempson is not a good team.

We are 16-1 and won the 5 games this past week by a score of 65-13. One more warmup game before SECplay. I'm still concerned that Sanders still isn't ready to be the Friday night guy.

We are 20-1 and won all 4 games this weekend by a combined score of 34-7. Nice to see great pitching combined with a real offense.

I had the exact concern. IF he can be consistent with his placement he will be very hard to match up with.
When he is on his game the ball is extremely hard to lift. His height makes his arm angle just nasty.
Every hit uga had against him was when he got the ball high. I think he is just now starting to get into a groove.

I will continue to say it, We have got to stop striking out so much.
SO many of our fans thought we were back, but if we arent hitting bombs we are very average because we just strike out so much. Pitching is fine at points
Also this lady announcer is trash. She just isnt good at her job.

McGillis injury is not good for this lineup. he was stabilizing things at leadoff and obviously his power will be missed.
Tippet/Brewer on same lineup card seems a bit much for 7 others to cover. it wouldn't be strange to see Wimmer/Braswell up the middle in the field - it would be strange having swapped positions from last season. Braswell had a rough night finally getting a start in Charlotte - but he's been huge in both game 1's of SEC play with his PH ABs.
