The difference in how our men's and women's teams are doing is stark. At least football had as solid season.

Better than the all time winningest team of part time I reckon.

Do you know how many wins Team Redundancy team has?
Because they're one of the all-time winningest teams of all time?
:dunno:

The whole family is POS, more or less.

granted...the SEC tourney is a new season

The poor performances by MBB and baseball in their respective SEC tournaments over the last ~30 years is astounding.

And a frick you Furman chant breaks out from the Terrier faithful.

A fierce little local rivalry. Why we didn’t hire either of their coaches a few years back is beyond me.

I’d rather bow out of this tournament early since we won the SEC regular season. J

Getting it out now before the big Gamecock upset comes your way? Nice.
:pimp:
Might be my favorite show of all time but JD, and quite frankly a lot of characters, from Scrubs. The show as a whole became more and more over the top exaggeration of how it started.

We got smoked but yeah played Georgia in Atlanta and SC in SC

Bruh, the Big 12 football championship game was parked in Texas. I doubt you had issues with that.

And something tells me there’s a reason the basketball tournament found a de facto permanent home in Kansas City.

So your fans can’t travel?

Oh, that’s your counter argument? Where were yours in Greenville? Couldn’t travel?

Can we get the women’s tourney out of South Carolina

Not if they want people to actually show up to the thing.

What am I missing? UGA and Carolina didn’t play in football this year.

yeah, I did think it rallied at the end to be more like the show we all loved from the beginning.

Yeah, and what makes it worse is that they spent so much time on the preachy stuff that they didn’t have time to flesh out other possible feel good storylines (Jamie and his dad’s reconciliation, Nate’s redemption). Instead they had to speed run all that.

There is a difference between the best leagues putting some of their matches on streaming platform when the rest are on traditional tv part of a basic package. To a sub standard league putting 95% of its matches behind a paywall that takes extra hoops to subscribe too. Not to mention most the matches come on at the same time.

This. Plus Peacock actually makes the EPL more accessible to Americans, even more accessible to Americans than it is to English, than without it. The MLS went from pretty accessible to almost exclusively behind a paywall.

Does anyone in DC and Nova care about the Nationals

You have your hardcore DC natives that had maybe been jonesing for a team, and quite frankly the Nats are old enough that some can now claim to have grown up with them, but that’s a small section of the base. I’d say the fan base is largely casual. DC is a pretty transient city so you’ll get a lot of people that passively root for the Nats and going out to a few games a year is a nice social thing to do. It helped when the Nats were really good for a number of years. However, I pretty much only go when the Braves are in town and now that the Nats are bad they’ll often be outnumbered by expat fans of other teams.

When the Nats won the NLCS a few years back a local station interviewed some people celebrating outside Nats Park. One drunk guy was asked how long had he been a Nats fan. He answered “since today!” Sums it up pretty well.
