It’s amazing how things have changed. Going into last year, the biggest story was the amazing starting pitching across the conference. This year, it’s the offenses.

He has had like 20 years to break through. He has only gotten out of the Super Regional round once and lost in the Regional round 10 times.
Don't forget before Bianco, Ole Miss was bad/mediocre for pratically 30 years. They hadn't been in the college world series since the early 70s.
Bianco has won the regional 7 times. Great win %. The only thing that he missing is the CWS appearances (and national title).

He refuses to make late season or post season roster adjustments.
To be fair..no one would ever think of Ole Miss when talking about college baseball without Bianco.

He has had the classes to make this happen yet he can’t even get to Omaha more than once. Yeah he has made ole miss relevant but he’s not an elite coach by any means.

Vitello will pass Bianco with CWS appearances after this year.

Because they had a better team last year and couldn’t get to Omaha.
They return everyone on offense. Getting to Omaha has nothing to do with this years ranking. If that were the case, the 8 teams from Omaha would make up the top 8.

Not trying to hate against Bianco but he’s just not going to bring Ole Miss to the top.
Has absolutely nothing to do with a pre-season ranking.

Compared to SEC West programs State, Arkansas, LSU would we not say Bianco has just been mediocre as well? As in, all of those programs have been to multiple CWS. All 3 have played for a national title. State and LSU have won national titles since Bianco took over.
The SEC West in baseball is a monster. If you're average in the post season, you're left behind and considered mediocre.

My point though is he still made the college world series, plays in the toughest conference for NCAA baseball with a good win %, never a losing season like Vitello...
He has over-achieved in other areas except CWS.
Ole Miss isn't LSU/MSU..

Sometimes a fresh face is needed to get programs over the hump...of course there is always the risk of taking a step back as well.

Ole Miss, Georgia, and Florida too high.
Arkansas too low.

Bianco has to make it to Omaha this year or his arse will be canned. Especially since State won the CWS last year.
Makes me sick thinking about us having a deal in place to grab McDonnell and then LSU ghosted Bianco
There is literally nothing in this post that is true. Well done, sir, well done.

And for about the 7th year in a row I have to lament at how far our program has fallen.

Agreed. Any decision on Bianco's future will be polarizing. There are some old school Rebal beisbol fans I interact with regularly who remind me of what Rebal beisbol was before Bianco.

Losing seasons since Bianco:
Ole Miss: ZERO overall, 4 SEC
LSU: ZERO overall, 4 SEC
MSU: Four overall, 9 SEC
Arkansas:Three overall, 7 SEC
Ole Miss hasn't looked as bad as the rest of them. I just see if Ole Miss gets a new coach, he is most likely going to be worse.

Me, on a beautiful spring day at dudy noble with a sack of overpriced but delicious crawfish, a cooler full of ice cold white cans and Mississippi State baseball defending their national championship
