Dude called 4th and 31 like it was a 3-yard gain in the 2nd quarter. It was time

I'll never forget his call for the Alabama - Miami national championship game after the 92 season. I felt like I was there, just a great call.

God bless Eli.

Did you hear Eli call any games this year? I doubt it. It was at times sad to listen to.

Agreed, Andy just doesn't have what it takes. That experiment didn't pan out, time to move on.

This! When they did the replay voice over on CBS, I was like what the heck was he watching.
This was the first season that I didn't really get into listening to games on the radio while watching the TV.
Eli is a legend and hope he does great wherever he goes.

He's really good at baseball IMO. He had to take on other sports for obvious reasons.

What I read from Eli was that UA didn't ask him back, he did not retire. I'm no fan of the guy, but this is a weird move by bama.

I have said for years that Eli Gold sounds like he’s trying to entice 8 year olds into a van for some special candy, and he sounds like the kinda guy who would get excited for making “a warm poopoo” in his pants….

With that said, kinda shitty for the apparent way Alabama is handling this. I mean, let the guy call home games and host the coaches show for another year. He’s given 35 years to that program.

And you vultures would be here a year from now decrying Alabama as heartless. If it's time to go, better to rip the band-aid off.

Those inbred cocksuckers in Tuscaloosa are dirty about everything they do. It's historically been the filthiest program in NCAA history. Why should a move like this surprise you?

Loyal to Bammer for 35 years, just battled cancer, and they pull a dirty, disloyal stunt like this.

Philip did not do a damn thing to Johnny Majors.

Johnny Majors got drunk and showed his arse at a big donor function. That's what got Johnny Majors fired. You should keep your ignorant fricking mouth shut if you don't know what's going on.

Someone got fired because he hired a piece of shite from Alabama.
