I’m saying this with sincerity. Baker is an average DC.
Don’t be shocked when your defense regresses this year because you find out much of Baker’s success at Mizzou was inheriting the most NFL defensive players we’ve had in a decade. That’s why he looked world class at Mizzou because the talent was so much higher than before.
The myth then you bought was “WOW, if he did that at Mizzou he can be incredible here!”
Nah; y’all have always had dudes. He’s the same guy you’ve already fired once. Of course we didn’t want to lose him, but we know he wasn’t the secret sauce.

LSU must be really shook up about Missouri, starting unsolicited threads about our softball team.
Fact is Baker's resume was questionable for MISSOURI when Missouri hired him, he works for Drink for 2 years and suddenly he's the highest paid DC.

They do well with the KC and St. Louis television markets though, which brings in big dollars for the conference. Who cares about competition.

Maybe one day I’ll appreciate women’s sports enough to even know whether or not they are having success.

None of us are expecting to have a Top 10 defense this year. If we had had "average" last year we could have been a playoff team. It's just LSU fans trolling Mizzou.

It is too bad. Baker’s defense sucked in that game and Daniels is gone. Two points in Mizzou’s favor.
