LSU landed a commitment from former Texas A&M safety Jardin Gilbert on Friday.
Gilbert is a Baton Rouge native and was a four-star prospect at University Lab.
Gilbert made double-digit starts in College Station over the last two seasons, recording 79 tackles and two interceptions. He fills a significant need in LSU's secondary, which will continue to rebuild after a down year.
His commitment also comes on the same day LSU lost starting defensive back Sage Ryan to the transfer portal.
