I used to valet at Lauberge in LC. We parked his vehicle one night. He forgot a phone charger and asked me to go get it. I rode out on the golf cart to his black suburban and got the charger. He was definitely living in the vehicle. Had a mattress in the back and clothes and shite everywhere. Vehicle was gross. He had long braided, white hair. If I didn’t know any better, I’d have thought he was just some nasty old hippie. He was super nice to me though and gave me $10. This was around 2012 or so.
Oklahoma boys we’re looking at Will like….

Tread lightly speaking about Lance Guidry. The mean streets of Welsh will be after you.

No clue. First pics are from November of 21 when we moved in. Like I said, it was an older couple's second home. They lived out of state, so idk how much maintenance he was doing. A neighbor was cutting the yard.

Thanks for all the responses. Could the lack of water and being beat down by dogs/kids be the reason it’s deteriorated so much? Obviously leaves fall in winter but I wouldn’t think they’d do that much damage. I rake and bag at least once sometimes twice a winter.

I’ve thought about doing Rye. As hard and rocky as the soil is now, would I have to till it first? It’s really impacted.
And if I do Rye, would I have to kill it in spring to replant something else?

I’ve been watering the front oak a good bit last couple weeks. Back tree not at all. Have not done any pruning. Didn’t know that would make a difference. I have zero knowledge of basic lawn/tree maintenance besides cutting grass lol, hence, why I came here.
Grass is St Aug.

Not sure what happened, but my back yard is destroyed. Front yard is becoming a problem under the oak tree starting to thin out as well. First pics are from November of ‘21. After pics are this week. We have two large dogs plus a 7 year old. Previous owner’s second home so they were never here. Live in South Louisiana so the drought last summer definitely took a toll. What can I do? The back yard ground is hard as rock now and rocks are literally coming up everywhere.

Current pic of section not under oak is what whole front yard looked like:

He’s not really interested in football, but I talked him into going. Want him to have a blast. I hadn’t been to a game since college.
Anybody know where to find a timeline of pregame events? I’d like to take him to see Mike, watch the players and band walk down the hill, etc.
Is the hayfield lot our best bet for parking? Our seats are in sec 420 in S Endzone.

Whatever you do stay away from Advantage plans. They limit your ability to get care when you need it. They limit who you can see and what type of care you get.
From a rehab stand point, good luck finding someone who will take them in the next couple of years. Reimbursement rates are ridiculously low so no PT clinics are wanting to deal with them. They also extremely limit your visits.
They’ll lure you in with “discounts and perks” or whatever, but make no mistake about it, they do not give you an advantage over traditional Medicare with a Part B for comprehensive healthcare.

I’ve posted a couple of these before but think it’s super cool.
My uncle worked at NASA his entire career as an engineer. Received this from the crew after they got back home. Not bad for a baw from Basile, LA.

Find a PT that does Dry needling. Needle your calves to help loosen them up.
Put a rolled up rag under your toes, specifically big toe to put it in extension, and do calf raises. The toe extension really helps stretch the plantar fascia…3 sets of 15 twice a day
Sleep with a night splint from Amazon

He’s probably 40 now. I bet he could still throw the ball 75 yards in the air. All world talent, but couldn’t get right.

Yea honestly I’m frugal as shite, so I would’ve loved to go that route. She calls me cheap. My truck is 15 years old and paid for. Hopefully hold on to it for as long as I can as it’s only just crossed 150,000 miles. We don’t have much debt and she got the exact vehicle she wanted. Told her to enjoy it because our daughter will be driving it

Update: went to a dealership and found a 2025 Honda Pilot Elite my wife really liked so we went just to see what they’d give us for our trade in.
Negotiated for hours using Will Cover method. Got $5,000 off MSRP and right at invoice price, $3,000 more for our trade than they originally offered, and manager completely wiped off the $2700 in extra fees and junk they like to throw in (nitrogen in tires, floor mats, ceramic protection, etc.) that they swear can’t be taken off. All this after I packed up our daughters diaper bag and we started walking out. That was the key.
Someone questioned the numbers earlier …4.9% for 72 months, $580 a month after all said and done. Wasn’t expecting to buy today but all in all I feel like we got a great deal on the Elite and couldn’t pass it up. My truck is paid off so I’m okay with the note especially on a brand new, 3rd row vehicle.
Posting all this to say that everybody should read the Will Cover method, do research before you buy, and most of all be willing to walk.

We looked hard at the Kia Carnival, then my wife read about problems catching fire. I told her that would never happen…well, what do you know, our best friend’s Carnival spontaneously combusted in his driveway 2 months ago. I’m talking huge flames. Whole thing went ablaze in about 30 seconds.
