It's a long season. Lots of games left. Gotta save him for August and September. It's not like they have a day off Wednesday or anything. It's not like they don't have home field wrapped up.
That’s pretty messed up.

#27 for Bama means not a real list.
It's an athletic department ranking, not a football ranking. Try not to suck at everything other than football and softball.

That didn’t work last season. If you guys could at least try this year, it’d be apprictaed.
Just you wait. Orgeron will get it done eventually. After all, he's one of us.

As USC is my alma mater, I've always liked Orgeron (should have been kept as HC at the time when he was interim) and he and Robinson have a long friendship.
That's one of the main prerequisites to get a job with Orgeron is that you're on his guys. After all, that's how he got the LSU job - "he's one of us."

Vandy is the worst loser SEC program in the SEC and they can win a title in baseball. What does that tell you.
It tells me you have no interest in college baseball because your school has been really bad at it for a long time. I'm sure you'll be happy to tell us, though, how many national championships Alabama has won in gymnastics.

Obviously, you weren't around in the '80s. Florida wrote the book on cheating. The rest of us just read it for advice.

re: Do some of you really think a 10-2 reg season should put O on hot seat?
Posted by roger79 on 6/25/19 at 9:49 pm
If LSU goes 10-2 but gets its shite kicked in by Alabama (again), yes, he should be on the hot seat.
LSU is not competitive with the best program in the conference right now. Their offense hasn’t been competitive in that game since at least 2014. Last year’s game was embarrassing. And Alabama is the measuring stick, like it or not. We’re supposed to be a big-time program, not Silver Lining U.

To say Correa’s, Hinch’s, and Luhnow’s comments since Correa’s first missed game have been peculiar is definitely an understatement.
These phantom, recurring injuries are beginning to appear more related to the team’s lack of commitment to him, so he’s gonna show the team how committed he is to them.
Something’s rotten in Denmark, whippersnapper
He's a piece of shite, so I don't give a rat's arse how committed they are to him. He proved he was about himself by pulling out a "marriage proposal" stunt the night the Astros win their first World Series.
re: Blast from the Past: 40th anniversary of 1979 team this year

In four home games with Steve Ensminger playing quarterback (twice) or calling plays (twice) against Alabama, LSU has scored a total of 3 points.
To be fair, he split time with David Woodley in his two games as QB. But LSU lost 24-3 in 1977, 3-0 in 1979, 10-0 in 2016, and 29-0 last year.

Plus category
Todd Blackledge with almost anybody except Joe Tessitore on a college football game. I still like Al Michaels, though Cris Collinsworth is unbearable. I like Tony Romo. And I like Scott Van Pelt.
Minus category
Almost all of ESPN's talking heads, including Dick Vitale, Screamin' A. Smith, Tony Kornheiser, Michael Wilbon, Max Kellerman. Vitale has jumped to the top with all of his hypocritical remarks about Will Wade as he defends Bill Self, Rick Pitino, Coach K, Roy Williams, Tom Izzo, etc.
Also, Rece Davis makes this list when he became a little defensive bitch during the Devin White fiasco last year as some of his colleagues rightfully called out the SEC for its lack of transparency. And Tessitore is an unbearable game show host on Monday Night Football.
Jim Nantz makes me want to punch people.
And finally, Troy Aikman may be the single-dumbest person on sports TV now that Jason Witten went back to the Cowboys. Aikman does an excellent job of using the words "excellent" and "good job of" a lot without adding a damn thing.
Retired Plus Category
Pat Summerall and Verne Lundquist. Two of the best PBP guys ever to call football and pleasant to listen to for three-plus hours.

re: Most overrated stadium you've been too?
Posted by roger79 on 6/25/19 at 10:03 am
Fenway Park is hands-down the most overrated stadium I've ever visited in any sport. Cramped seats in the outfield and the concessions area there was like being in the south end zone concourse at LSU's Tiger Stadium. And that's not meant as a compliment.
As for football, I was underwhelmed by Kyle Field. Now that was back in 1995, back in the artificial turf days. But I didn't feel like LSU lost that day because of the crowd or the heat. LSU lost because it was not as good as Texas A&M that season.

They did? You mean it wasn't for stuff that happened under the watches of Reverends Houston Nutt and Hugh Freeze? Because I'm pretty sure that's why Ole Miss got hammered.

Oh, and, yeah, you got hammered because you're a runt. The NCAA picks on runts.

As I posted, the Astros dimensions are not much different than Yankee field. While Houston has the 30ft wall, Yankee Stadium is larger in essentially the gaps. So yeah cheap home runs in the corners but you have to work if you out one anywhere else because it is larger than Minute Maid
MMP is basically the same. These two parks play similarly. Pop-flies down the lines can be HRs, crushed fly balls with strong exit velocity can still die in the gaps.
