No, that’s fully acceptable.

I don’t either. It was a connection attempt.
I eat Vienna sausage occasionally, but this drink the juice stuff doesn’t register. Do you drink the juice from a can of sardines?
You say that ironically, but the results are probably not what you’re trying to get over on us.

It’s a function of the political climate we live in today. Neither side takes a break from the rhetoric.

Just bought tickets for All Them Witches at Chelsea’s, Baton Rouge on Valentine’s Day.
Google gave me several confirming links. Not fake, apparently.

If someone should be allowed to stay if they cross, why should we prevent them from crossing in the first place?
If he can't answer that question, then it does seem to suggest there is a strong connection between the two.
According to stats I’ve seen, illegal border crossings have dwindled to minuscule numbers compared to Biden’s term. I agree with the assertion that the Dem strategy was to bring them all in to create an almost impossible to overcome voting bloc. Me saying that ICE’s current method isn’t a good look doesn’t mean that we should just allow them to stay and suckle the government teat, but I think the current method is giving the left and the media plenty of ammunition to use against the current administration.

I think what you're saying is this, the 10-20 million illegals currently in the US need to lay low until Trump 2.0 administration is over. If all these illegals survive the passing summer storm known as OMB they will never be deported from the US and will likely be voting in federal elections too.
Nope, I stated my opinion in the OP and then clarified. You, and others, are taking what I said and twisting it into your own viewpoint, and that’s not surprising.
Independent thought must be axed in favor of the hive mind these days. I get it, but I’ll continue to think for myself.

So you’re fine with the people who snuck in the country in violation of our laws? Let them stay, what, because of muh feelings?
Not at all. To clarify, the criminals should have been the focus from the beginning. I’m talking about violent and economic criminals. Once that is accomplished, shift to the rest who are here illegally. Simply choosing a location that immigrants frequent, then going there and rounding up people has never been a good look.

I don’t mind this at all, and it’s my opinion that this should have been the way from the beginning.

The Department of Homeland Security is amending its immigration enforcement operations by moving away from raids targeting all illegal immigrants in the U.S. and focusing more on the ones who have committed serious offenses, according to a report.
quote:
Illegal immigrants have been targeted based on characteristics such as ethnicity, accent, language or location, such as being at a Home Depot or a car wash.
Agents will still conduct traffic stop enforcement, but Border Patrol is unlikely to continue grabbing people off the streets, the outlet reported.
The reported change in immigration enforcement comes as support for President Donald Trump's mass deportation policies has tanked in the polls.

We win on ideas and lose in the execution.
Yes, because those tasked with said execution are not truly concerned with the will of the people they represent. To be a national level politician is America today requires certain characteristics, and serving your constituents isn’t one of them. Unhinged greed and corruption, along with a hunger for power drives these people, and our government is incapable of functioning in the way it was designed to function because of it. Side doesn’t matter.

Think about the drastic shift that the expression “America - Land of Opportunity” has taken.
I saw a post on X yesterday that showed the number of bills passed by Congress in the first year of several presidents’ terms going back to the nineties. They ranged in number from a little over 100 to well over 200.
The number of bills passed by Congress in the first (almost) year of Trump’s second term? 5

The political establishment/uniparty is obviously intentionally holding back a bunch of his agenda. As someone said, they’re just waiting him out so they can get back on their corruption and graft gravy train.

I agree with you. For some reason, coaches aren’t supposed to put the responsibility on the players to the media.
