I think he was a top 5 recruit early in the process. Was an Aggie lean the whole way till he wasn’t.

A&M and Texas have the best recruiting advantage. The sheer volume of high level recruits is unparalleled and they should be able walk off a majority of them.

I think he’s a good hire and will definitely be an upgrade but this isn’t a hire that is nearly as scary as some of the other options that were rumored about. I do think he’s better than Riley tough.

4th in the country in defense points allowed this year.

He’s elite but won’t be poachable. He’s either taking a head gig somewhere or will wait it out with jimbo till the right head job comes available. He’s already a top 3 paid assistant in the country and will be #1 at A&M if needed.

Every one of these threads is the same. Some pretend to be happy while others pretend the sky has officially fallen.

Coaching searches are a wild ride.

In 4 years jimbo has already won 9 games as many times as sumlin did in 6. Last years Covid season has messed up y’all’s perception of jimbo. With a normal 13 game season he very realistically would have been 12-1. This year was disappointing for sure but based on last year and recruiting jimbo is doing a fine job at A&M. We are hoping for better but nobody is sounding the alarms.

Woodward only gave jimbo 75 million.

Direction of the program is still good. This seasons record is not.
