He made national news because he was playing tennis in Gainesville and got into an argument with some folks at the courts and either hit someone with a tennis racket or swatted a tennis ball at someone. I thought it was funny because I was envisioning a 7'2" white dude playing tennis and getting involved in some stupid mischief with a tennis racket.

I just received my brand new Samsung S25 Ultra phone last week and it is an awesome phone. LSU's uniform looks like a purple blue to me, but still mostly purple.

That was in 1991. That might have been the last LSU regular season game in the Superdome due to waning interest and lack of prime time TV/opponent.
