re: Bama fans tell me about Philon

Actually all of the players you mentioned (Dareus, Chapman, Cody, Deadrick, Square) were 4 stars on at least one of the recruiting sites. As a matter of fact Dareus was one of the top DLinemen in the nation per scout. Grade issues dropped him lower than he would have been otherwise on Rivals. ...

re: Jarrett Lee Is A Class Act
Posted by Tortman24 on 1/10/12 at 5:52 am
Lee acted with integrity. I dont understand why there was no quarterback change. Over the past few years i have come to admire miles as a coach. But his gamepan, lack of adjustments and failure to change quarterbacks in this game certainly took some of the luster off his coaching reputation. ...

Congrats to LSU. An unbelieveable year with an incredibly different schedule. While we won this one LSU will certainly have a chance at revenge in the future. These two teams will be perennial championship contenders for years to come. ...

To LSU as well. An unbelievable year to go through that schedule with only one loss. We will get to see both these teams compete for championships for years to come. ...

Well it is an LSU fan that is asking for her autograph. So if anyone has an issue with her popularity take it up with those seeking her autograph. ...

re: Which team has the better defense?

But under your logic the nov 5 game counts but the osu loss to iowa st. does not? Yes every game counts. Our loss on nov 5th counts as does OSU's loss shortly thereafter. ...
re: Will Boone Pickens Sue the BCS to Stop the BCS Championship Game?

That is insufficient to constitute legal standing under article iii. He would need to show that he personally has suffered or will suffer a discrete injury. The case would be tossed quickly. ...
re: Les Miles has more class in his pinkie than Petrino has period

You display mercy on the Louisiana Lafayettes and UABs of the college football world. You take your foot off the brake because they are utterly outmanned. But the supposed 3rd ranked team in the nation doesn't deserve mercy. They should be able to at least keep it respectable. ...
re: Arkansas fans believe Miles is heartless
Posted by Tortman24 on 11/26/11 at 5:48 am
Although teams typically run the ball up the middle to keep from running up the score given the fact LSU was eviscerating Arkansas up the gut, Les probably felt throwing the ball was more merciful.
Great game LSU. I'm a huge BAMA fan but love watching LSU play. ...
re: If we do in fact finish 11-1 and still behind LSU in the BCS....
Posted by Tortman24 on 11/21/11 at 6:12 pm
I agree. I think there will be a groundswell to change the bcs rule limiting the number of bcs participants by conference. Especially given the weakness of the big east and acc. ...
re: LSU is in the SEC Championship as long as Bama wins Saturday
Posted by Tortman24 on 11/21/11 at 6:10 pm
Care to make a wager on that? Assumes of course that bama beats auburn and ok state beats oklahoma. Ok state has no chance to overtake bama in the bcs unless they trounce oklahoma by 30 and bama looks really bad in defeating auburn. ...
re: Urban Meyer: "This is the most diverse Alabama offense I've ever seen"

Sure. Why let the facts get in the way of your misguided argument. Look at the facts einstein (assuming you are not an lsu grad and therefore have the ability to count beyond your fingers and toes....all 21 of them). ...

Actually it is lsu's pass offense that is dependent upon one person. Randle has caught 50% of the lsu passing yards this year. In contrast bama's leading receiver (maze) has about 25% of bama's passing yards for the year. Also our leading rusher has almost twice as many yards as ware. And Lacey ...
re: LSU in Night Games away from Tiger Stadium

Incluing the saban wins is laughable and means our coach is 28-1 in night games during this period while miles' record is less impressive So thank you for pointing out how good saban is at night. ...
