What in the absolute frick has happened to this lineup? We went from one of the great offensive seasons 2 seasons ago to one of the worst performing offenses in baseball since May of last season. It's remarkable. It's insane. They can't hit their way out of a wet paper bag at this point. Seitzer was clearly a scapegoat and there are deeper issues at play here.
I know Riley had his personal hitting coach pass away, last year maybe? I also know as of last year Chipper hasn’t been involved much. I also think guys like Wash and others moving on had more of an impact that folks realize.

player and the poster I went through a year where I could not throw the ball back to the pitcher. I could throw down to 2nd and 3rd without a problem. Had to totally retrain my throwing angle. I still have occasional issues when I'm throwing around with my kids.
I’ve dealt with the same thing. I could pitch, throw out runners trying to steal….but I couldn’t throw the ball back to the pitcher. Like Major League 2 bad. I couldn’t play catch. It was awful, 100% mental and hard to explain how difficult it is to fix.
Always felt bad for guys who experienced it at the professional level.

At the filter thing is a part that needs replacing every so often.
Wait till more automakers start charging you a monthly fee to access shite you already paid for like heated seats, remote start, etc.

Last of the Breed (lamour)
The Lonesome Gods (lamour)
Lonesome Dove (McMurtry)
All 3 are great, especially on drives. Narration is great. First 2 in particular are easy to get lost in. LD would cover your trip there and back. It’s 30+ hours I think.

I think the Boogie stuff is overblown as a way to cope with starting 0-5 in conference. We couldn’t hit a shot for a good stretch there. The times he tried to take over and force shots was out of necessity. We need him to contribute some solid minutes if we have any shot of winning games this weekend.

This move could backfire. How many QBs actually brining in $3M? If they were to come up with the money someone is inevitably going to ask why don’t they just take the $3M and go buy the best QB in the portal.

“That was a called play Chuck, and I called it”
Meanwhile RJ or whoever our QB was at the time already mentioned audibling into the play call to beat Vandy.
The moment I became a darksider.

which comes first, the chicken or the egg? You have to have NIL money in the first place to compete for the upper part, but you have to compete for the upper part to encourage people to donate to NIL.
I’m saying a quality HC gets us 8-9 wins. That’s prettt evident the past few seasons alone. Even with our current NIL.
NIL is what it takes to get to the next level and compete for the CFP.
Find someone who’s worth investing NIL money into and the money will be there. Look at how quickly things changed with BBall.

I’m not overly familiar with Pittmans contract. Is this indicating that his buyout won’t drop next year regardless? Due to an automatic extension?
I was aware of his record being at .500 or better meant a higher buyout this year. Assumed it would drop next year.

Is it losing big to MU and in the bowl game? Is it someone like Stephens Media pulling a hatchet job like they did with Nutt/Malzahn era? Is it when Yuracheck sees a guy he likes available and makes the move? The NIL is not close to being competitive?
Given HY doesn’t want to hire a new coach right now, I hope he is back. If he isn’t we likely end up with another Morris situation.
NIL is the difference between 9 wins and being in the CFP, in my opinion. Pittman hasn’t shown me any reason why I, or anyone, should be investing more in NIL. If we got outplayed every week from a talent perspective that’s one thing. I see an undisciplined team that gets out coached. Fans throwing away money to NIL aren’t going to allow us to make better coaching decisions, fewer penalties and less turnovers.

quote: holtz hattfield nutt and petrino are outliers. That's 1977-2012 minus the Crowe/Ford years, and Ford made the SEC championship. Certainly not outliers. The "we're just poor lil ol Arkansas" line ignores a lot of very good players, teams and seasons. The outlier is the post 4-1-2012 era.
Starting with Broyles we’ve had 5 coaches with successful tenures here.
144-58
60-21
55-17 (easy to forget how good Hatfield was)
75-46
34-17
Additionally we’ve had 6 coaches with losing records
9-15 Crowe
3-6 Kines
26-30
4-8
29-34
4-18
Pittman is at 28-28 I believe.
I agree and the data supports that everything post Petrino is the outlier. And the run of Broyles, Holtz and Hatfield is as good or better than any 3 consecutive coaching hires any program in our conference has made.
It’s all about making the right hire. No reason we should set expectations below 7-8 wins a season, and consider that a down year. It can and has been done.

If anything our history shows the bottles holtz hattfield nutt and petrino are outliers. Everyone else is about 50/50 or a little worse. Maybe we are a trash program who thinks we're just not great? Based on booster funding, fan funding, and AD performance maybe we could all use a more realistic perspective.
That’s a lot of outliers. For reference here are a few other programs from late 80’s onward, excluding their HOF quality coaches.
Bama-
24-23
17-8
10-23
Texas-
31-26
41-28
16-21
32-18
34-15 (Sark)
Oklahoma-
44-23
5-5
12-22
55-10 (Riley)
17-10 (Venables)
Tenn-
7-6
15-21
34-27
5-19
Point being, I don’t believe programs make the coach (long term) as much as the coach makes the program. All 4 listed above (2 of which played in weak conferences with arguably more resources) don’t look so hot without Saban, Stoops, Brown and Fulmer.
Frank built our program and deserves a lot of credit. But he also ran off some good coaches. The way Jerry runs the Cowboys reminds me of how Frank essentially ran our football program behind the scenes.
I’m not connected and maybe I’m off base, but I feel like some of that continues with the ‘64 team having boosters still pulling some strings. It feels like some want us to be good, but not good enough to surpass the ‘64 and Frank in terms of legacy.
If we ever make the right hire no reason we can’t compete at the highest level.

If we're going to settle for 6-6, I would rather achieve that as a smart, tough, truly undertalented team. As opposed to a team that shows ability but makes too many mistakes to realize full potential.
Well said. I feel the same way. It’s not so much the W/L record as it is how bad we look. The turnovers, penalties and overall lack of discipline is what frustrates me the most. Buying better players isn’t going to fix that.

those things were said about Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. The vote totals in those places are basically the same
So you don’t find it odd that voter turnout in GA, PA and MI is inline with 2020 ( which was 15M votes higher than any Dem ever). Yet turnout in solid blue states was way under 2020 and that explains the vote total gap?
Harris lost 1M votes in NY. Trump didn’t pick up any NY votes. The 4.3M she did get is inline with Hilary and Obama though.

You have to put the entire puzzle together to see the big picture. Why manufacture an extra 15 million votes? The answer is simple. They couldn’t just dump hundreds of thousands of votes into 3 or 4 very specific areas and leave the popular vote at or around traditional historical levels. They had to flood the entire system to give the appearance that it was one homogeneous event. Historical totals everywhere give you the cover to write off vote dumps in Atl Philly and Detroit as being part of that historic wave.
Exactly. Pretty sure it impacted TX last time in their attempt to convince people it was turning purple.
I hope last nights victory doesn’t overshadow how much fraud likely occurred last night as well.
Similar to with Hilary I think they massively underestimated the turnout for Trump. Haven’t gone thru all the data but initial look shows Harris massively underperformed in blue states. 1M less votes than Biden in NY and 600k less in IL. Yet she has higher turnout in GA? I don’t buy it.
Additionally her vote total for NC was 2,684,549. Biden got 2,684,292. Obama and Hilary got 2.1M.
Voter fraud is a rampant problem I’m hopeful Trump can get fixed over the next 4 years.
