I’ll pay him a compliment, he’s top 3 since 2000

Had two cars shipped from MN to CA in December. Cost ~$3000 total (work paid for a job relo)

re: Scientists achieve teleportation breakthrough

Also, the article very clearly puts quotes around "teleported" because that's actually not what this is at all. It simply sent information using light. Which is pretty cool in itself and could have many applications...but in no way is it legit teleporting one thing to a different place in space/time.
It’s unfortunate that quantum teleportation means the transfer of quantum information across distances while in pop culture teleportation invokes images from Star Trek, Galaxy Quest, etc. It doesn’t help that the click-bait headlines use images of transporters.
This particular result is interesting because quantum information cannot be duplicated (no-cloning theorem for those who want to read more) and these researchers found a way to transmit data across a distance while performing an error-corrected experiment (the logical qubits mentioned in the paper). It is a tiny step on the 1000 mile journey to one day having quantum computers that provide value (somewhat analogous to the Google Willow announcement last December).
It’s different from Bluetooth because it’s using quantum information while Bluetooth is transmitting classical information packets. You cannot use Bluetooth or WiFi (at least today) to transfer a quantum state between qubits.

Why is Penn State 3 and Ohio State 6?

So you want them to leave out 11-1 teams from P4 conferences so that teams who went 9-3 can get in? Maybe Bama and Ole Miss shouldn’t have lost multiple games to teams in the bottom half of the conference if they think they belonged in the playoff
I don’t want the 3rd place team from any conference.

Pretty good 03-07
re: FCS does it......why not FBS?
Posted by The Easter Bunny on 11/14/24 at 2:31 pm
The power structure of the FBS conferences heavily favors the SEC and Big10 who are unlikely to signup for a "fair" playoff system that rewards all conferences equally.

I agree, but I’m counting his first presidential campaign as the one in 1984

re: Miami in another dogfight against an unranked team

Can’t be as painful as the way Miami lost to GT last year
re: It's idiotic that "#4" Miami would get a First Round Bye over #2 Ohio State.
Posted by The Easter Bunny on 11/9/24 at 1:24 pm
Would be amazing if #2 tOSU and #3 UGA are both left out of their CCGs due to uneven scheduling in these massive conferences.

I’m all about shitting on Kamala, but I’d probably be fricked up right now in her shoes. 5:45pm on the most important day of my life and nothing I can do to affect the results? Let’s get fricked up with my closest friends

Please let someone make a giant trade with us for our pick. Top 10 this year plus next year’s first and someone decent to start now

Right now I typically run 3-4 times a week (every other day). I am doing 2.5/2.5/3 at my 5K pace.
I’m not a fast runner but I love reading about the sport, and please don’t do all of your runs at race pace. At minimum pick one of the Hal Higdon plans and try that out for a bit LINK
I get what you’re saying about not wanting to do super long runs, but a weekend run of even 5-6 miles would likely do wonders for your fitness and eventual race times
re: Could army make the playoffs if they run the table?

I think the service academies should always get the benefit of the doubt if they run the table
