re: Predict your 2025 CFB Schedule
Posted by grossgross on 2/6/25 at 1:46 pm
I think I predicted like 6-6 or 7-5 last season so I obviously know jack shite about football lol
Mizzou
Aug. 30: vs Central Arkansas - W
Sept. 6: vs Kansas - W
Sept. 13: vs Louisiana - W
Sept. 20: vs South Carolina - W
Sept. 27: vs UMass - W
Oct. 11: vs Alabama - L
Oct. 18: at Auburn - L
Oct. 25: at Vanderbilt - L
Nov. 8: vs Texas A&M - W
Nov. 15: vs Mississippi State - W
Nov. 22: at Oklahoma - L
Nov. 29: at Arkansas - W
You could swap USCe for Vandy if that makes more sense to you, but either way it would be 8-4 (4-4)

re: Wait is Mizzou Oklahoma University rivalry actually a thing?

It was much much more a Big 8 basketball thing than a football thing because, yeah, they frequently whipped Mizzou's arse in football.
But don't believe any OU fans that say they didn't care about it. They are either too young to remember or are lying. There was actual hate involved in those bball games. The old Stormin Norman/Billy Tubbs showdowns were epic.

Mizzou 8-4 (4-4 in conference)
We got worse in 2 of 3 phases of the game and hopefully stayed even on offense. Even with our cakewalk schedule that doesn't bode well for playoff hopes.

Any team that hasn't made it to Atlanta is first on the block, IMO

Eli is such a colossal dork but since he completely owns it it kinda works for him, I think. Certainly an out-there dude but he's been getting recruiting results (at least compared to Mizzou's history) so what do I know
re: Visiting fans are treated better at Ole Miss than any other school….

That certainly was not my experience when we visited in 2013, but go off I suppose. Ole Miss fans rank just above Arizona State as the worst fans I have experienced at a road game.
re: Hypothetical B1G/SEC annual football challenge

We had the Illinois game annually but the Illini ran away because they were tired of losing that game.
Turns out though that missing the exposure in St Louis hurt them more than they thought, so thankfully the game has been rescheduled 8 times in the next 10 years (now it's a home and home). If kU doesn't want to schedule a permanent rivalry week game going forward I would be ok with the Illinois game filling that spot because beating Arky has gotten kinda boring :snoozer: Illinois would probably be a better game.

re: If there were an 8 team playoff here’s how the final rankings should fall:

7) Georgia
8) Mizzou
(No Oregon)
But otherwise sure

re: Mizzou now has 0 wins over AP top 25 teams

Yeah, but Ole Miss sucks as a team, a school, an athletic association, and a fan base though, so…???????

They've been hit or miss lately but this one was definitely a hit. The "Why is Dad Yelling at the TV" book had me rolling :rotflmao:

Mauk 100% did that intentionally. Dude was a world-class a-hole

OP - I’m so confused. Are you just a Tigerboard troll playing the long game to make Texas look bad (worse)? What’s with your handle?
re: Week 5 SEC parlay

Mizzou might have a bunch of people dinged up for the Vandy game. We will still likely win but I don't know about a 12-point spread. Good luck.

Technically in (which is the best kind of in)
re: suck on this SEC

An Aggie asking someone to "suck on this" and a blind link?
No thank you.
No thank you.
re: Now that you’ve seen your team through 3 games, predict the rest of the season…
Posted by grossgross on 9/21/23 at 9:56 am
Mizzou is sitting 3-0:
Memphis (in StL): Close win that takes years off my life (4-0)
@ Vandy: Close win but we are still somehow (5-0)
LSU: Loss (5-1)
@ UK: this will always be a loss until we prove otherwise (5-2)
S. Car: Win (6-2)
@ GA: Loss (6-3)
Tenn: Toss up - will say loss for now (6-4)
Fla: Toss up - will say win for now (7-4)
Arky: a win until the pigs prove otherwise (8-4) (4-4 SEC)
Music City Bowl: Loss because that's what Drink does (8-5)

Mizzou does. Guaranteed.
re: Missouri fans, you used your one bargain “pass” last night against Kansas State
Posted by grossgross on 9/17/23 at 8:43 am
Absolutely worth it.
Former Big 8 rival
Defending Big 12 Champs
Ranked #15
Ridiculous record-setting kick
Good, back and forth game
Got killed last year at their place
We thought we were terribad - we might not be
K-State fans have been extra mouthy lately
…and it’s fun. In this corporate era of college football we need as much fun as we can get.

Don’t be nervous, I promise. Mizzou loses this one pretty convincingly. The Drink death-spiral has (thankfully) begun
