re: My Buckeyes are going to obliterate the weak arse LowHorns and send the SEC home.

Are you really a Buckeye fan? You have over 100,000 posts on a SEC troll board. Wow.
re: The national narrative about SEC has been set

The entire nation was tired of SEC dominance, so they're taking advantage of the opportunity to throw dirt on graves. No big deal. The SEC will be back. There is no other conference in the country that has such a high level of institutional committment to football from top to bottom that the SEC has.
re: What Bevo Means to Us...!!!

At least the last 3 Bevo mascots have been provided by ranchers John & Betty Baker. I believe one or both of them attended A&M or they have some affiliation there. Nonetheless the Bakers are gracious hosts and work closely with the Silver Spurs to make sure a healthy and trained Bevo is at various games across the country every year.

The problem is always which Texas team will show up ? I don't expect Texas to win but not because of talent just mindset.
Texas has played some tight games and even has been behind, but the Horns haven't won a game where they were down double digits. That means UT has generally been superior to their opponents. However, they didn't respond fast enough when Georgia punched them in the mouth repeatedly in Austin.
I am glad the game vs. OSU is in Dallas. I have tickets and will do my part to give the Horns a home advantage against a very talented Buckeye team.

IDK about that. He has trouble articulating but he usually does his homework on picks and will cite some statistic to back it up.
I have seen him make plenty of emotional picks over the year. That's ok, because he is an entertainer but I would not call him an analyst at all.

Is Lee Corso a pundit?
Yes, but he's not exactly an analytical one. Corso is an old school coach and he loves him some Texas and Notre Dame.
re: Endowment and Athletic Revenue Smack. Will Football and Basketball need to spin off?

School endowment is tangential to athletics as it is not used for coaching salaries or player pay/benefits. Some universities do use their endowment investment income to help pay for stadiums and other athletics-related buildings.
Anyway, it is entirely likely that a state university that is not in the top 10 for endowment size might still have alumni that are very keen on their football program and they will open their wallets to support it.

re: Would Sark go back to the NFL?

Sark has unfinished business in Austin. I think he wants to play through the upcoming Arch era and see what happens.
All bets are off after that.

I am happy to be the underdog with a punching chance at the upset. This is why we play the games. No reason for fans like me to feel insulted or disrespected. The team and coaches need to shut up and show up, and all indications are at least the Longhorn players aren't too mouthy on social media.

Simply provide one single link referencing Texas's roster being the most expensive
The simple fact is OP can't provide such a link because it doesn't exist. I have watched every Sark weekly press conference this season, and he simply isn't dumb enough to brag about such a thing even if it is true.
But every Texas fan knows this already. Not sure why some people feel compelled to make things up.
I would love to see the link myself, but I know 99% certainty it never happened.

an outdated OC. The game has passed them by and everyone and their mother knows the play when we line up because Bobo is extremely predictable.
Really? I haven't followed Bobo much, but in interviews I have heard both Saban and Sark say Georgia has a similar offense to Texas.

Why invoke them? Did you really want to read more about missed targeting calls and how tu destroys every conference?

Serious question: do they let players travel as much in the college game as the NBA?
I don't really follow BB ever, but might try a few games this year as the SEC is apparently really good.

re: Georgia beat Texas twice. Yet, Texas is the SEC's last hope to win the National Title...

It was rust and playing a backup QB even if he is talented and has been in the system. And you have to credit Notre Dame too.
Crap happens. There are no givemes even though everyone likes to say the playoffs have been a bust.

I do remember Slocum saying something to the effect that Mack Brown was "impressive" and hard to compete against with all the new facilities Texas had built. He was savaged on TexAgs for it, but he had a point.

Yeah. I got to play a round of golf with Coach Slocum in a group once. He was generally quiet but he would share a few stories. Always interesting or funny, but definitely he didn't say anything bad about anyone. In another person, you could say he was being political, but in Slocum's case, I think he's just following the Golden Rule.

Slocum was a good coach. He fielded some fierce Wrecking Crew defenses.
He didn't adapt to the Big 12 (other than 1998) for whatever reason, but he has served his school honorably for decades and will rightfully be remembered as an Aggie legend. Slocum was nearly always classy in his public appearances and probably held his tongue countless times over the decades when lesser men would have used the occasion to settle scores or put themselves over.

I am so devastated what random other team's fan thinks. [eyeing the Cotton Bowl game against another storied program - will be a tough one, but anyone still alive in the playoffs can win it all]

You know what? I just don't care frankly. Just like I didn't care when everyone said Texas would be running through a murderer's row in the SEC.

They are a good team. Ohio State just came angry and with revenge on their minds.
Ohio State is rightfully favored over Texas. No biggie admitting that and we'll need to play a good game to beat them.
