re: CFP...Perfect Size?

I wouldn't call two scores a blowout, though. 9 of the 16 BCS championship games were decided by two scores or less. 5 of 10 in the CFP championship. You're never going to eliminate that due to the size and disparity of the college football landscape. But more games means more whittling down the pretenders. Makes for some bad football but hopefully better late round games. 4 wasn't enough but I'll never understand the jump right to twelve.

Scoring margin has actually been more than my post indicated by mentioning 15 points.

22-28-17-28-15-58-21
That’s an average of 27 points for the 7 games decided by 15 points or more

The average point spread for all 10 games is 20

Even if you throw out the 58 point blowout it’s still an average of 15.8 points for the other 9 games.

Even with the 4 team format, there were blowouts in the first round.

Exactly. Even the NC game.
Since the inception of the 4 team playoff 7 of the 10 NC games have been decided by 15 or more points.

You do realize that pretty much no one has more money than SMU, so I don't know what you mean here.

Booster wealth doesn’t necessarily equate to TV eyeballs for the networks.

That would be great but all the conferences wouldn’t agree to that and expansion required a unanimous vote.

Those 2 powderpuff games are home games. That’s a lot of revenue to give up.

Those are graduation rings. Something LSU players probably don’t get so I can see how you fail to realize it.
SoS is going to be a factor when deciding. B10 and ACC overall are weak. So is ND.

Georgia 6
Bama 4
Ole Miss 63
LSU 9
Ags 23
Tennessee 32
Mizz 73
Texas 51

Ohio St 52
Oregon 40
Penn St 43
Indiana 91

Clemson 61
Miami 48
Pitt 65
SMU 58

BYU 29
Iowa St 38
Kan St 14
Colorado 16

ND 56
They very likely don’t have that let down vs Northern Illinois if they lose to A&M so they actually then look even better on paper.
The tradition started when A&M was an all mens college and hasn’t changed. A&M has cheerleaders. And guess what? They’re all females. They just don’t attend the football games. The real irony here is that A&M doesn’t actually have male cheerleaders and the rest of the schools do.

Absolutely pitiful attempting to redirect any part of what happened Saturday night. This is a prime example why y’all have a shite reputation with schools who have previously shared a conference with you.

They likely go 5-7
The great majority of celebrities are liberal pieces of shite. They fit right in in Austin.
Didn’t take long for you to see the reality of playing in the SEC.
You want unbearable? That would be Texas winning it all their first year in the SEC.

Especially since he’s still listed as a DB on the roster.
Bet he’ll lead all DBs this year in receiving. ??

It’s too bad you brain is so small since Aggie gets to live there rent free.

re: Early Betting Lines

IMO the best bet on the ND game is the under 49. Both teams should have great defenses and offenses tend to stutter early season.
The absolute stupidity spewed here is amazing

Some of you guys live in a world of nonsense. Texas plays lots of OOC games in large stadiums (Bama this year, Michigan next year, etc.).

LOL at your definition of “lots”.
Texas has played 2 true road games in the last 3 years with attendance over 74k. Arkansas and Bama. The next closest is Iowa St at 61k.

re: The 4 best teams… for TV

The media has been salivating for years to put Texas in the playoffs. “They’re back” every fricking year. The narrative started several weeks ago with the talk of how the committee would view the injury to the Florida St QB.

Bama created the opportunity when they beat Georgia. If Georgia had won it would have been the 4 undefeated teams and the committee would be touting how we’ve never had that before.
