re: If NIL/transfer portal continue, could it affect your passion/love for college football?
Posted by Nazyef on 12/19/24 at 10:48 pm
not for me. I just need to re-adjust.
I loved having 3-4 years with players. Seeing a long term vision evolve, grow, and seeing players develop from year to year was a really rewarding feeling to me, personally, as a fan.
The sped up timeline of things is hard for me to grasp all the way but I...

ahh thanks for clearing that up for me....

hilarious people think the Heisman numbers aren't retired - even if not officially recognized as such.
Look up the last time 7, 34, or 2 was worn.
And this Aairon Savage argument is dumb as hell. He was wearing 2 before Cam came in, and they let him keep his number until his eligibility expire...

he's too old for the light to just "come on". You can tell in his footwork he has zero confidence and is just lost out there. Insane that a guy with that much experience looks like that. Even against the lesser competition.
At this point I'm ready to pull the plug on the Pegues experiment- at lea...
re: Tahaad Pettiford
Posted by Nazyef on 11/10/24 at 10:27 pm
What impressed me most is that even though he was hot, Tahaad kept looking to feed Broome.
That was unexpected considering he was kind of billed as a score first bucket getter.
He may not ever be a "set the table for others" type but was glad to see that ...

2013 and 2010 were aberrations, in my eyes, as opposed to any indication of winning culture.
Or else the 2012 collapse or 2014 slide to 8 wins and ensuing Gus' fixture on the hot seat doesn't happen.

We haven't had a winning culture - where we really felt like we could win any game - since Tubs. That's a long time.
We're in one of the worst stretches of our football history right now, nobody on our roster knows how to win. In the portal era it's difficult to build a culture but at least we're...

re: Dylan Cardwell

But that doesn't necessarily mean "skilled". When you think of skilled bigs you think of guys who have some perimeter skill set. Dribbling, shooting, top tier footwork.
Dylan is a garbage man bruiser type. That's not a knock on him at all, just don't think he falls under "skilled big man" - that'...

Zep came in to compete for the PG spot. I think Alexander got scared when we got Desi Sills transfer commitment from Arkansas - who would've been his competition along with KD Johnson at the 2.
Sucks because we ultimately didn't land Sills because of a grade issue or some shite
