Atlanta Baseball Rebranding Idea

Posted by TennesseeFan25 on 10/10/19 at 1:45 pm
There are 2 identifiable problems associated with Atlanta Baseball. The first is their racist and bigoted history, which ownership has identified and is beginning to rectify. The second is the perceived issue of their inability to win. I think I have some ideas that could help solve both of these issues at once.

First, this is all assuming the baseball team remains in Atlanta, there is obviously a ton of speculation that the team may be leaving for Montreal, this doesn't account for that though.

This idea all starts with their impending team name change, they can't continue to hurt people, kudos to ownership for realizing that.

I believe the team will be best suited by changing their name to the Atlanta Freemans. This is powerful and carries weight for a number of reasons.

The first is it pays homage to how they have wronged, but also is inclusive and honoring of all peoples.

The second is it pays homage to their MVP through the past few years and moving forward. Freddy Freeman did his best to lift this team on his back, but they were just too heavy and would not come along. Any rebuild is centered around their cornerstone of Freddy Freeman though.

Finally, the term Freeman symbolizes the Braves entirely, freedom; wow, think about that for a moment. To be free, to not follow the footsteps of others, but to blaze your own trail. Atlanta baseball is not constrained to the ideas of winning, success, or entertainment. They choose to play the game their own way, and that's powerful and their name should be equally as powerful.

This step could help to solidify Atlanta having a baseball team for decades to come.
Go to Lake Tahoe get a hotel room, enjoy paradise on earth. They have nice cozy rooms at Squaw Valley about an hour outside South Lake Tahoe, gorgeous.

Winter Olympics were hosted there in the 60s so it’s an amazing spot

And now they have to dickride the Nats

Sadly they don’t realize the team they are currently bouncing on was 5-2 against us on the year with a 3 game played just weeks ago. The Nats be the only team in the country that choke more against the Cardinals than their own.

If you listen closely you can hear the faded chants of ancient racism leaving the stadium forever. I am glad they have decided to change their bigoted ways and am really leaning towards their new name being the Atlanta Ants or Aardvarks. Exciting times!
How about the Rays? The team you will be facing

Feels like it is the Nats story tb

Agreed, posted before this game that I thought the nats would beat a superior dodgers team.

You know as well as any of us though the Cards just own certain teams and the Nats seem to be at the top of that list

For sure, a chance at a Yankees cardinals series, the 2 most storied winningest franchises in history would really suck

Go to bed man, tomorrow is a new day and you hopefully won’t be this wrong again

By the way, made another 1100 off this Nats win, my big spending betting bro

Whew, only 2/6. Thank God.

Left off 7 initially, there was just so fricking much...
1. Superbowl loss although at one point having a 28-3 lead

2. Braves Infield Fly, losing to Cardinals

3. Braves Lack of postseason series win in 18 years

4. Having the Atlanta Hawks represent you (almost forgot about them)

5. Realizing your baseball mascot is racist/bigoted

6. Living in Atlanta

7. Giving up the most runs in a single inning in postseason history in elimination game

I feel like the Nats are riding high and get the W
No disrespect, you’re a Braves fan though. I don’t talk to a plumber about electricity, I don’t talk to a veterinarian about cooking recipes, and don’t really care to talk to a Braves fan about success, accolades, awards in regards to baseball
His teammates really failing him, boom he comes up huge when they need him most and they strand him on second. Need a full rebuild around him IMO

This guy’s a Hall of Famer,” Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said after the game, asked about Molina’s two huge RBIs
