I would rather play at PSU in the first round. The Odds of OSU dropping back to back losses at home are very low..
Also I would think Notre Dame would get way to much Zebra love playing at home in the first round..

We need our OC to call some misdirection to punish their aggressive defensive playcalling.

The reverse to # 5 early in the game was just what was needed.!

If anyone is to blame for offense right now it's the o line.

To be fair at basically changed position for a bunch of guys and asking them to pick up exotic blitzes right now.

So this should not be shocking

That's s why we should do some double Tight end formations. That would help and let the backs hit the gaps.

It is 15. There have been a few NFL QB who have gotten eaten up with shifts after the 15 seconds, I wouldn't advise putting Jalen in that situation.

I agree and one of the things Jalen must improve on is just taking the check down when its there..
Especially when Jam Miller is in the flats.

Honestly people. It was terrible decision,

man thats some Vegas point spread type stuff right there..
You are the road team and you trying to tie the game and at worst overtime..why would you go for 2..???

Good to know the 80 guys he initially signed up with and made the playoff don’t mean shite to him and don’t need him apparently

What football players goes thru training camp,a full season + the playoff and makes a statement like that.
There is Noway a father of a player would allow his kid to say something like that..
Its like he did not develop or have a friend on the team or that nobody Battled along side of him.
I guess Milroe must have really lit into him (hurt his feelings and questioned him about loyalty,
for him to throw out that weak A** comment..

Sad that this confirms it's purely a cash play. He doesn't really know anybody at Ohio State. He's not about to win a national title with Ryan Day's soft team, BoB having receivers run into each other, and McLaughlin going bowling with every other snap.

The past 3-4 yrs in there biggest games you have seen multiple teams exposed OSU's vulnerability on the back end. So I can see why it's believable that they would start over paying for a kid like Downs.
When you look back to our trouncing of Osu in the Natty there Lb'er and safeties were abused.
Then combined the Natty loss to UGa and Mich's now 3 straight win's with a National title on top.
Its natty or bust for Ryan Day.
Ryan's Day/OSU team is now faced with a do or die season.
Even though This coach has been to like 2 natty's in the past 4 yrs? This combined with having possible 11-1, 12-0 type seasons.
Under that kind of pressure I can see there NIL player value is going to be much higher and border line desperate this yr.
It's all leading to more open bidding wars of NIL money combined with unrestricted free agency windows causing kids like Downs value to balloon up. So there is noway these kids parents are going to not take those type of bags!.
College football is surly headed toward needing NFL typ GM's and NLI cap specialist in the very near future.
LINK: Nice take by Brock Huard !!
Getting his hold crew to be ready to make the move with Him (Deboer) is what I hope happened to make him commit..
I was at the Natty as my kid is a Mich grad and like our game it really came down to a couple of plays.
Mich D-line/zone blitz was the key that allowed them to stay in zone on the back end 85 % of the game..
They also did some blitz zone concepts mixed in which made Penix rush throws late in the game.

On the UW end it was really the injury to there stud back who played but was not 100%. But Penix missed on the big throw behind the WR who would have scored. He also had some key drops and the holding penalty on the big throw down the UW sideline called back due to holding was huge.. Like our drive to maybe go up 2 scores were Jalen fumbled.. That holding called stop what could have been a game tying score.

UW like our defense was hit by just a great RB instinctive cut were there D-line over-ed pursued were Edwards just made 2 great bounces. Edwards broke back the same way against Osu last yr on the same play calls..I think Mich by far was the better team and my main point was that Washington game plan was very solid and the score did not indicate how well UW played. There OC did some nice play calls to set up there big shots and had those connected it looks like another overtime ending.

Did not mean to turn this into a Natty title convo as I just wanted to share what I saw in UW up close in the title game.

The continued use of the new insertions /increased usage over the last few games of 26,77,45,19,81 combined with what Booker and laythem had already brought to the table.

On defense I need to see 91 out the knee brace and he and lawson at full speed and the last thing is I would love for Benson to have a crazy Break out game along with 19 & 2 both have returns for scores in special teams..

Uga is bring everything up the middle and the QB run right in one of these 3 possessions would have been a nice

Love the way they are playing. If Milroe continues to calm down and run the ball we are tough to beat.

Agree and That QB counter run will payoff again the way 26 & 5 are running the rock inside. I think were gonna hit them with 84 for a score with Burton clearing the safety out of the slot.

The Kid is only gonna get better as his 1st post season conditioning in the program will kick in for next spring camp!.

But Speaking of offensive line.
Did anybody else catch the o-line coach up in Seth face after Bond's Catch.
Then later in highlights of team walking to the tunnel Seth face was like " Man I am so glad Bond caught that ball !.LOL..

I was going to mention this is the post about Reese !.
I just could not understand how a guy who was known for featuring 2 TE's was not using it to help his o-line
and force Texas to not be able to drop 7.

Yes Understanding Texas has a good front.
But with double TE's sets it would have allowed a good run game and also help the o-line to provide some Max pass protect for your inexperience Qb's.That combined with a few shots of Bonds and Benson getting over the top would open the TE routes underneath with 84 on the single TE releasing on some play action.

bring out the two TE sets and get matchups on Dipree and Niblack

Agree!..
I really dont understand why we did not come out with this as our base set. It gives us max QB protect and allows our running game to me more productive.. Texas is just playing zone on all 3rd down passes and keeping eveything in front.

True we don’t have the same safeties but pairing an elite WR against a safety who may not have elite speed is a bonus. I think we have massive upgrades in safety Key and Downs. So that may be a wash. If Worthy is the heavy target, bracket him and move on. They may expect that and target someone else that’s why it’s a chess match.

I agree it seems they (Key /Downs) just have better overall athletic ability to turn(hip-wise) and run much better than last yrs pair.
Both seem to be able to break better on the ball with faster straight line speed.

Also on a side Note:
That WR out of Texas (# 14)looks really smooth out there
