That Thursday watching basketball all day during work and the following voluntary half day to make it to happy hour to watch the games hits different

Oweh is tough bro

Just absolutely no mercy against his old team lmao

UK didn’t deserve to win it
There needs to be a freeze on donations until this can be resolved. I don’t think boycotting basketball is enough.

Tate won’t late WW back but, there’s someone in Men’s CBB that can get LSU playing with more effort, competitiveness and heart than what we’re seeing.

I would take TJ Otzelberger any day. Would be a night and day difference
Yes. I think there would be a considerable amount of donors willing to add more money in NIL and the transfer portal than what even McMahon will get in the offseason
It would be much more valuable for his buyout and to a hire new head coach.

Its time to fire McFart

Sure they have a chance but it’s disingenuous to say Luka was the sole reason they made it past the Thunder. PJ Washington went scorched earth after Gafford and Lively destroyed OKC on the boards. OKC improved during the offseason and the Lakers aren’t relying on Jaxson Hayes as this dominant big man

Like anyone gives a shite about the 6th best team in the SEC’s opinion. Both teams whooped your arse on your home court.
You had literal felons on your team. I’d shut the frick up about class

Upvoted. I did. Still think this would be a better plan than the shite storm Mickey and the gang are brewing up right now

frick It. My offseason wishlist rant

Here's what I would do if I was Gayle. Downvote away.

1. Fire Mickey
- His draft picks, free agent signings, salary cap management are heinous. His fixation on Derek carr is egregious. He was only competent under Payton. He should consider himself lucky he was kept along for the ride under Brees/Payton

2. Ownership Options
- Similar to Tom Brady with the Raiders, I would look at potentially opening up ownership shares to prominent former football starts
- Brees seems obvious but, I would seriously look at the Mannings with Peyton and Eli and their history with the city. They could provide valuable experience and consultation with football operations.

3. Keep Rizzi at HC for one year
- I don't care if you put Belichik, Vince Lombardi or Andy Reid at HC this year. They are going to SUCK (thanks Mickey)
- Embrace it. Save money on the Rizzi hire for the following season when the salary cap opens up and you have draft picks
- Tank for the #1 pick in 2025. One year of pain can turnaround a franchise. Putting lipstick on this pig will only prolong the suffering of this organization. Throw away the 2025 season for a franchise QB. You will thank yourself in 2-4 years.

4. 2024 Draft.
- 1st Round should be best player available. I would target high character players with safe floors and high ceilings. If Genty is there, I take him with plans to offload Kamara who is up there in age and Miller who has been a Loomis bust
- 2-3 Rds: Get line help. I don't care what side of the ball. I would focus on O-line but, there's so many options this year from rounds 2-5, that you just stack up. I really like Deone Walker at NT, Tate Ratledge at RG, Grey Zambel LG, C, RG, Emery Jones (RG, RT).
- I think the WR class is pretty weak at the top but, have valuable slot options in the middle rounds: Tez Johnson, Xavier Restrepo, Jack Bech who would be valuable for a rookie QB.

5. QB
- Cut Carr. I want to embrace the tank. Stop with these bullshite 9-8 seasons. Start Rattler to see what he has, or go to a backup for one year. You need to get rid of his contract to open up money in the future

6. Tank for Arch
- I know his high school tape has been a source of debate on TD but, I love the pedigree, moxy and the limited tape I saw with him in '24. Is he going to light it up in 2025? Who knows. But I think the moment will not be too big for him in the NFL and he's got a great support system in place with his family
- Having Peyton and Eli in hypothetical ownership positions will make it more appealing for a landing destination where in the past they have been picky with draft spots (ie San Diego holdout)
- It would also be VERY cool having Archie's grandson lead the team into the future with a young O-line, tons of cap space and tradable assets

7. New HC
- I think it has to be someone offensive minded. I like the idea of Kellen Moore and Joe Brady. However, I do think people are underestimating Todd Monken. He's a proven playcaller. He does a fantastic job at identifying personel strengths on offense and commits to running the football.
- He won a national championship with Georgia and made their offense a strength with Stetson Bennett at QB
- He may have coached Lamar Jackson to back-to-back MVP seasons
- I think he's very solid as a coach and would be a strong voice in the locke room. He would also have more experience than some of the first time HC candidates.

8. DC
- Dave Aranda at DC. Like Monken, I'm sure it will cause some debate. I know there's some bias as an LSU fan. There are also plenty of options in the league that willl do. But I do think he is a great defensive mind fit for the NFL. Similar to Jeff Hafley, he may want a change of scenery with the changing (and challenging) landscape of college football.
- With an offensive minded HC, you have to make sure you set up your team and young QB for success in the future and actively invest in it for the future with draft and FA signings.

I have a lot more to say with regards to the cap and free agency but, those are the main points.

TLDR; Tell Mickey to frick off. Keep Rizzi for a one year period, tank for Arch in 2025, draft Jeanty and Line depth in 2024. Get Gayle some help in the front office.
This team just played with more heart than I’ve ever seen a Brian Kelly coached team exhibit. It’s honestly a miracle they made it somewhat of a game towards the end.

BK would’ve lost 45 to fricking 7 and the whole team would’ve given up just like we’ve seen his arse do against any game of meaning at LSU.

It’s like this board collectively forgot he’s never won a playoff/BCS game

If Ohio St punts here they have roughly 2:30 left with the 2 minute warning to tie it with TD and 2 Pt conversion lol

UPDATE**: never mind lmao

People that would want to watch LIV could have if they wanted to. It just isn’t a very good product with really not much on the line with these guaranteed contracts and lack of big tournaments with rich history

This could be said about every expansion league in the history of sports. At one point, the MLS cup was meaningless. Now they have Messi and potentially Neymar joining their league.

LIV has a good thing going for it. Star power. They have a new CEO and are distancing themselves from Greg Norman. Now the FOX deal. I think they’re doing okay for year 3
Wow! Kelly actually decided to address special teams in year 4
BK is what? 0-3 in meaningful postseason games between BCS appearances and the CFP. Always fell flat on his face.

I just don’t see how BK could take this ND team and win three straight playoff games including one against UGA to make it to a national title appearance. It’s incredibly embarrassing

WRONG

His team shite their pants in both playoff appearances. Once against Clemson, and another against Bama

Northern Illinois beat this team

And they responded by winning 13 straight on the way to a national title birth… like what’s the point? Freeman took ND farther than BK ever did. It’s a bad look lol

Thank god you’re scouting for the team.

Both are absolute takes for the portal class. Don’t be a moron
