Probably 300,000 baseball games a season, it's okay to miss one.

Reich’s deal is reportedly for just one year, which could potentially complicate things for recruits.

Not in today's climate, only the money will matter.
Guys, this is satire based on Maryland's coach who just left due to lack of NIL funds for his program.
It's a outdated concept. Scrap it and focus on competitive games.

If anything, do something during the NBA finals for the players not in the championship. Three point contest, etc on the off days.

Should coaches sit a year too when they transfer?

Coaches have contracts that enable schools to be compensated when their coach is poached. Applying the same guardrails to athletes would go a long way in fixing this problem.
A GM's dream, a owner that doesn't think he knows baseball better than him.
I'm crushing so much work over here that I have time to come shite post on here.
First time during the Pulisic era that I no longer believe we're an underachieving team that will eventually grow into their talent. We're straight up below average and we're not a top 30 team.

Why should universities have to fund this?

Because they make money off of it. Isn't every SEC/Big 10 school cashing $70mil tv revenue checks a year?
Glad they get paid, high level college sports have been "professional" for the past 30 years. And as Rick Barnes put it a few weeks ago, it goes both ways.

Fluke, or fast paced = better conditioning?

He does this knowing the camera is on him. This wouldn't fly in a major conference.
LSU finished 15th, in a conference with 16 teams.
Let's be real, even the Nations League Final is a glorified friendly.
Good for him. Feats like that is what will get him drafted somewhere in the first two rounds. Hopefully he lands with the perfect team.

Billable hours ruin any work life balance. In house with an energy company would let you have a life.

Friends with a couple where the husband works for a big firm who are really butting heads right now over this. Three kids and makes probably $250k+ a year, but is apparently never home and with the kids hitting sports/extra curricular activity age, things are getting stressful quick. I've heard him curse the term "billable hours" on more than one occasion . He just got to the point where he is apparently shopping around for a new gig, hoping they find some peace.

I'm in my 30s and don't mind the grind (and don't work in law) right now, but man I really hope to slow down to 40 hour work week when I'm in my mid 40s and have kids who need me/my support.
A decade ago I think I'd be all for something like this. But man am I sick of political grand standing.

And let this be a reminder if you've forgotten, Kenpom and the NET have ruled this sport for the last decade and will continue to do so. Baseball fans claim nerds have ruined the sport, but not like college basketball.
Yup, SEC title game and bracket reveal. Love it.
