What happened to Best Buy?

Posted by PeteRose on 12/13/25 at 4:22 pm
I made an online purchase for a TV last night. Their site said ready to pick up in 1 hr. I show up at 10 this morning. Cashier said it’s not ready for pick up, and that she doesn’t know when it will be. There’s a 4-1 employees to customers ratio at the time. I told her I can go grab it (20 ft away) on the floor, and she can scan it. She said that would make everything more inefficient. She told me to grab the TV, pay for the new one, and then call Best Buy to cancel the first order.

So as I’m paying for the 2nd one, she’s asking me questions about providing my phone number(they already have it), warranty plans, giving a donation. No to all 3. Transaction was done, and I felt a relief to get out of the store.

I remember being excited to go Best Buy 4-5 years ago. I guess Amazon took the life out of them.

That show has the most unrealistic dialogue I’ve ever heard

I saw the first 3 episodes through prime. Seems like they are just interested in delivering memorable cool one liners instead actual dialogs that move the story. I didn’t care for any of the characters. Even when some of the characters die, I had to click the remote to see how many minutes left.

Any baws trying to sell at this price?

Went to a pawn shop this morning looking for silver rounds. They’re even more expensive than online prices.

Why is there an orange line display for the line of scrimmage? It looks like 3rd and inches every play.

I'm all in that I will ever be in. If this stock pops, I'll be fine. If it doesn't, I'll be fine.

I’d be disappointed. Aside from the money, I spent a good amount of time following the stock and readying about the company. To be honest, Having high hopes for something that doesn’t pan out sucks emotionally as well as financially. It’s kind of like in the movie where the character finds a treasure map that ends up to be nothing.
Remember when gas was going up everyone said “when gas price goes up, everything goes up”? I’d like to ask those people if prices are going to go down now.
Prior to yesterday’s Ohio st / Indiana game, Heisman odds were similar among Sayin, Mendoza and Pavia. They were between +170 to +200. Mendoza is now -3500, Sayin +50,000. Pavia who didn’t play yesterday is now at +1000.

If hypothetically, Sayin and Mendoza played a different teams yesterday and both lost, Pavia would now be -1000.

So I’m both scenario, Pavia didn’t play any game. But in first scenario he doesn’t win. The other he probably wins. He’s the same player with same stats in both scenario.

So it seems like the last week performance carries more weight than all the previous games of the season combined.
Nice kick by Yan, let’s go Petr.
Yan piecing his arse up.
I guess I like Yan fighting style.
I got a bet on Merab but for some reason I’m rooting for Yan.
I won with Van but didn't want to be like that. Kind of anticlimactic.
I think this fight should've been the main.
Van's boxing and body shots on display tonight.
2019 LSU probably beats 95 huskers. But you have to measure a team’s dominance based on what they did in their era. 1958 LSU team was the national champion. Does that team beat the 2025 Kentucky team? That ‘95 huskers team beat 4 top 10 teams by an average of 30 pts. Their 3rd and 4th string RBs were averaging 8 yards per carry. We’ll never see that again.
frick you Bogdan. You and your non eye brows.
I got Bogdan by ko/tko 1st fight.

They’re only 4 points underdog so it’s not that much of a shock if they win.
It all depends on the last wk of the season. In reality, who knows who the best player is. If the Heisman was given after all the bowl games, historically we would have a few different Heisman winners.
