You are a whole year late :banghead:
Penn State safety who caught game-winning interception against Boise State just entered the portal within the hour.

This just isn’t true , idiot.

Cooley did play the Nickel position on the vast majority of his snaps this year. At least get your facts straight before being an awful poster. He played less than 5% of his snaps at true free safety position this year.

If you think he's going to pl

But Moscana said we had a secret commit from a playoff team!

I think most of us on here are skeptical the same as you that anything will ever materialize there...many on here have said we might take two safeties so I don't think Cooley committing necessarily means we are done at th

Did this guy signing put LSU over the scholarship limit? Are you saying they can’t sign anyone else?

I don't know the current numbers, but they don't have to be at 85 until at least after Spring Ball.

How good is he?

TIFWIF but he was the second-highest graded player on NC State defense last season. Highest graded in their secondary.

Might be the biggest portal grab this offseason

Certainly one of the greatest positions of need!
That is the High School signing period. Transfers can sign virtually at any point after they enter the portal.
Signed and official. Nakos from the top rope!

Cooley is a done deal!
Not sure what you mean. I meant that I would love to get a player in the vein of Terron Armstead. A guy who can transition from FCS to top-tier football seamlessly at OT position. There's some in this thread who want to insinuate that the jump from Montana St. to SEC is no big deal. My point has bee
Barring injury, we probably have the two pass-catching TE's we need in Sharp and Green. Bordelon could definitely get time at blocking TE. He did it this year some.

The biggest problem with Bordelon playing that position is that when he's in the game, it's almost a dead giveaway that we are runni
Ed Oliver was also a 5-star recruit. But yes, you are right!
You are right, though, that there have been some really solid linemen that have made the jump from FCS to NFL. Another good example would be Terron Armstead who went straight from UAPB to the Saints.

Would love to get one of those.
Nobody said it's not possible. We could just as easily make a list of guys that didn't pan out. The point is that, if we take someone, it should be a sure thing. Which is the question I asked (which you didn't answer).

Let's at least be honest and say that he wouldn't have faced the type of edge
I saw Moscona said mention it this morning. I'm skeptical of the FCS to SEC jump being successfully made for a top-end caliber starting OT.

With what we have on campus already + the incoming class, I don't think we should take anyone that isn't a definite plug-and-play starter. Do we think he wou
I know it has been *reported* that LSU has a Safety target on a current playoff team, but it's hard for me to imagine we don't take Cooley if we can get him.

The real question is - would we take two players at the Safety position?
DJ Pickett....just kidding!

Actually I would say TaRon Francis. With a name like Manchild, he's destined for greatness.
Good catch that he seems to suggest two players. I would be mildly surprised if it was Green this early in the week, since his visit isn't until the weekend, but we'll see!

Lonn teasing new commitment?

Lonn is suggesting on X/Twitter that LSU may have received a new commitment. My guess would be Keionte Scott (Auburn transfer) since he was reported to be visiting on Monday of this week. Timing would make sense.

It's not that uncommon for transfers to flip commitments. It happened today with a kid who changed his mind from Colorado to UCF. Considering that they were incredibly fast with reporting transfers when paperwork came through, it's always at least worth noting when there's no official announcement.
