When asked to name his top three SEC teams on his weekly McElroy & Cubelic in the Morning radio spot, ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum obliged...
quote:

“I’m gonna go with Greg (McElroy): Georgia, Texas and Alabama and I think we’re splitting hairs about Ole Miss,” Finebaum said on McElroy and Cubelic. “Saying Ole Miss might be No. 4 in the SEC that puts them, what, about six or seven nationally? So it always comes down to a coin flip and I think you know, what they don’t have to deal with this year is what they’ve had to deal with so many other times and has been heartbreaking is Alabama.

“And I think even though the complexities of that rivalry and complex that Lane Kiffin had with Nick Saban is out the window. I think that is to their advantage. But I still think the roster at Alabama until proven otherwise, maybe is slightly better.”

Safe picks.
Two playoff teams and a SEC championship game participant.

I don’t understand why so many of y’all get so weird about him picking Alabama in his top 3… he’s right. Is it because he’s right or because you just hate Alabama because they have whooped y’all’s teams arse?

Not with their schedule the next 2 years. The SEC gave them a gift. But hammered OU with Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Piss, us and of course Texas.

Well he’s not dumb for saying Alabama will be a top 3 SEC team. Don’t let your hurt feelings cloud your judgement. When is the last time Bama wasn’t a top 3 SEC team?

What was their record last time Saban wasn’t coach?

So the answer is 2007. That’s the last time Alabama wasn’t a top 3 SEC team. But this new coach that finished in the top 2 nationally definitely can’t make Bama a top 3 SEC team. You’re all a bunch of dang geniuses

shite…you poons have been crying about how Alabama has declined for years and for years that shite hasn’t happened. Seriously been reading about Bama’s decline the moment they get a loss. Last year Bama was within 1 play of probably being #1 and winning the natty. Prior to last year Bama had literally been #1 at some point in a season since 2008. That will NEVER happen again in CFB, for a team to go on a run like that. So when this decline crap was spewed over a decade ago…why are folks still waiting on it?
