He’ll be ok, the problem is that the hype is weapons-grade stupid at this point so he’ll never live up to it

Actually not. Brian Kelly wasn't hired to get Manning. He was hired to lock down Howard which only other school of interest was notre dame, but what would I know. Stop watching ESPN and do a little research before you post.

Texas feels like the best play for expanding the Manning marketing footprint

If your dad was an Ole Miss legend like Archie Manning, and you grew up in that atmosphere, it's not really too surprising that growing up LSU would not be one of your favorite schools--so not too surprising Cooper and Eli went to Ole Miss (and Peyton went to Tennessee). Archie came to New Orleans because the Saints drafted him. He and his family have been a credit to the city. I get this Arch is one generation further removed, but again, HIS dad (Cooper) went to Ole Miss. So I don't think they hate LSU more than any Ole Miss family does (and vice versa).

He’s overrated. He’s a good but not great QB. Manning name is creating the buzz.

We don’t k is that he’s way better. Why not just say we have the #1 QB? That is at least a fact.

There is no way that a family with more money than they could ever possibly need is going to choose a school just bc a school offers more. They have a clear end goal with this kid and thats to be the best player on the board once draft day comes.
user avatar

money won't determine this decision. The Manning family already has massive money.

There has been a lot of pomp and circumstance to only have it narrowed down to 5 schools. Kid really likes the attention.
