If you're serious about rush and live close to Athens consider going to summer events if you get invited. I know a lot of the "better" ones fill their freshmen class this way and don't even bother with the rush week in the fall.
And honestly just go where you like the guys. The only real difference in a good one or a bad one is which sororities they hang out with. Obviously that's pretty big but I knew people really happy in worse ones and some people that didnt fit in at all in the better ones. But do take people serious if they say some are awful because some really are terrible and they'll be the ones pressuring you the most the last couple of days of fall rush

Also, if you truly value Georgia football you may do spring pledgeship. Granted you won't be in the cream of the crop and your class will be smaller but you won't have some cumguzzler screaming at you to go pick his bitch up from the house 10 min before kickoff while you're rocking a blazer or whatever.

Yea, I generally saw that rush week was just a week to party with your new crop of lil bros before you cracked the whip. Otherwise that frat was CPJ and you were the kid debating which FCS school you were thinking about.

First your post abt how much to party v study and now this sh*t.
You know how many guys are in your freshmen class? A couple thousand, right? You know how many of them will get laid in the first few weeks of school? A lot. You know how many of them are on a UGA sports board asking about how to party and get laid? Only you. Think about that for a few minutes.

Start the day at bars before the bouncers get there. Classic City always had some of the best pours for the dollar. Once the bouncers stroll in, you might have to move. Sky's (18yo bar) is great for a couple of cheap pitchers of beer and rounds of pool with the frats. When you feel 10 feet tall, stroll by O'Malleys (18yo bar) to pickup the girl dujour. Dancing, quarter drinks, and the river patio in back... it's too easy.
If you're too drunk to frick... you won't be too drunk to get served at Abilene Icehouse till 4 in the morning.
If you were ever downtown at closing time, Roadhouse was always 15 minutes slow on the clock.
Abilene and Roadhouse need you to know people. But once they know you, you're in.

Theres some solid advice in this thread DD. The bars I'd recommend from my freshman year would probably be Whiskeybent, Moonshine, Flanagans, and Generals...
Don't go to Bourbon until about 1:30 when the Freshman girls are at their most vulnerable. It's not worth it to stay in there all night

this guy gets it...listen to him...i am a sidewalker but went up there plenty of times and have spent vast amounts of time in Statesboro and Tallahassee...even spent some wild arse weekends at Auburn...just have fun...and listen to Rig too...SCHOOL is why you are there...sluts will happen...don't try too hard...

I tend to get fairly obnoxious during games so I have to watch them with friends that are equally as obnoxious otherwise I just end up being "that guy."
