1-0 Noles over FAU in the 2nd on a solo shot to left

FAUs batting averages are startling when you first see them but FSU pitcher toyed with them first time up. FSU making great contact right now, 4 hits first time through their order

who would we rather win thsi game? I can see arguments for either.

And not to jump ahead, but who would we rather out of the BR regional? I know LSU isn't nearly what they were supposed to be but I despise the idea of having to play them in the supers considering we already took the series against them. ASU looks like they can hit damn well so that's a bit scary too, but I'd likely much rather face them than LSU. No idea what ASU's pitching looks like.

btw how is the crowd? I wouldn't imagine there'd be much of a draw for 2 non-home teams in the regional especially at noon on a workday.

Actually not a bad crowd. Nowhere near capacity but a ton of noisy FSU folks as you’d expect but FAU has a decent contingent.

Hancock and Wilcox are both here amongst others watching

Devils could probably speak to matchups better than I could at this point. Obviously FSU has looked more impressive right now but I really don’t know the caliber of FAU pitching and what to read into it

Dfinitely want FAU to win. They have absolutely no pitching and our pitching can silence their bats. Florida State can be lethal if they are on all cylinders, and they have a stud waiting to pitch tomorrow.

He always pitches on Saturday. Parrish is technically their #1.

Parrish was their Friday guy throughout the season... Van Eyck the Saturday guy IIRC... Between not mixing that up and probably feeling pretty confident that they could take out FAU, assuming that's why VE likely pitches tomorrow.

I think the only game on regular TV right now is Auburn and they aren’t even on SECN, but ESPNU.

Parrish pitched 76.2 innings this year and had 105 K and only 27 walks. His era was 4.81, but he also gave up 9 runs in one inning against Louisville a couple weeks ago. He can be a very good pitcher when he is on.

why are we going locey, hancock? is that common for 1 seeds in the first 2 regional games? seems like it's worth the risk to throw wilcox in game 1.
