...and UF might be his new home.

maybe kirby is pulling an ol' "saban processing" card.
from swamp247:
he only committed to UGA because kirby paid to fix his mother's roof?

How many times have I said Mullen stopped recruiting completely. Once he got fired it really increased the chances of him coming. He was literally waiting for UF to hire a coach before he committed to UGA. Once Kirby got wind of that he secured the badly needed roof and that was that. I know a UF booster personally that was going to pay for the roof but he wasn’t committing here without knowing who the coach was. Not tryna be funny but the roof was needed badly and he didn’t want to wait much longer. Once Kirby said he could have the roof installation started as early as the next day it was over. He was thinking heavy about not signing early but his mama wanted him to keep his word and she pushed him to go ahead and sign.

But wouldn't he have to sit a year?

i don't know what the plan is, but if he transfers now, yeah, he'd have to sit a year.

I get that your recruiting is not exactly doing well, but don't melt down about it, Finchmeister.

Wouldn’t be the first time that a freshman got homesick and wanted to bail during the summer leading up to their first season. Most end up staying, some don’t.

the rumor came from a georgia board.

Another player left UGA the other day, and that article about him said that according to their count they were at 87 on the roster. I have no idea if that is correct, and Bama is supposedly at 86, so if true some players will be leaving before August 1st.

Most of our departures are expected. Would bet LB Rian Davis is next (hasn’t been healthy really since coming to campus 2-3 years ago).
Haven’t heard about Singletary being a departure but like Crow said above, homesickness is pretty common. Daran Branch and Major Burns both bailed for those reasons last year

Gators can't outbid Kirby for a roof? what a sad and poor program.

Well, the Gator rumor is that he was waiting for the new coach announcement before committing. Kirby caught wind of it and wanted his commitment. Asked what it would take and he said $10,000 to fix the roof.

I was going by the link.

(Just for clarification, I don't know anything)
Don't misunderstand...it could be correct. But it seems like a stretch to take a quote from a random poster and turn it into this.
FTR, I am in no way upset about your posting this...just surprised and perplexed.

After rereading it could be I misunderstood you. Perhaps you were laughing at this whole thing?

He’s fighting for a starting spot and will be second string at worst.
Edit: and if Fowler says he hasn’t heard anything then it’s probably not true.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I sometimes miss nuances.

Roofs are no joke these days. Materials are nuts

I don’t think UGA will ever be worried about defense with Kirby. Offense on the other hand…

I thought the roof was a metaphor
