Not sure what Duke offered him but my Tulane sources say Auburn offered him 5 million for 3 years

So 1.667 million a year.
We really don't know the details of the contract. It may be performance based.

You think schools are giving these guys performance based deals?
Nobody is getting “multi-year” deals. Maybe he got a 1 yr deal for 1.67M so they’re reporting it as 5M total

They can “offer” it, but nothing prevents a kid from jumping back in the portal next year

NIL deals are usually paid in monthly increments. There cannot be any performance based language in them. They are basically deals for appearances on radio shows, signing autographs, commercials, etc. They are usually only paid out if the player is enrolled at the institution but there can be no language about performance.

No we didn’t we are looking ideally for a 1 year guy but will take a 2. 3? No way.
QB has always been a fit position, better guys go to worse schools to get spots.
I'm sure Auburn or Missouri would've paid more for the one year, but the kids probably smart to go the school that NEEDS him most, if he's got play time guarantee

Yeah, but they are locking this money in ahead of time.
Sure they could leave. Doesn't mean they didn't sign a multi yr deal that will be paid out if he stays for both yrs.
