Will add that this is the second 5* in consecutive years from the DMV area that has committed to the Gamecocks.
Props to Beamer for locking down a talent rich area.
Need a strong season because Stewart will surely still get pursued by Ohio State and UGA.

Its a huge get for Carolina. hopefully it sticks. I am a little surprised there is no ceremony or show. That could be a good thing and mean the kid has a good head on his shoulders, or it could be a pressure commitment after his visit.

It's definitely surprising, but apparently he was struggling with how/when to make the announcement. Only thing that was clear was that he wanted to do it before his senior season.

For sure. NIL has really changed the game for everyone. I know OSU lost an edge rusher to Miami last month because, in their fans' own words, dropped a massive bag. I'm not sure if South Carolina is doing that as well or not.
Regardless it's a massive get. Insiders for OSU said he silently committed on his visit to OSU, but that literally means nothing. Hell a public commitment may not mean anything in 2023

if you go to our board SOS was mentioning that one of the reasons our june/july were so bad is because we arent able to pay like other schools.

SEC recruiting is crazy. Alabama, Auburn, S Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and Texas A&M all have a 5 star committed. Strangely LSU doesn’t but they might get one

LSU will probably get one, and for this class you can count OU and Texas too who will both likely have at least one 5 star. Insane.

No doubt. And even if the commit does stick the guy could transfer any time after that on a whim. As long as the current rules remain in place rosters can go through crazy shifts from year to year.

Idk where Clemson is on their NIL but this has always been a huge difference. We have a large, passionate fan base that wants to win but our fans have never been willing to throw around the cash the way Clemson and SEC schools do.
