Why is Auburn not ranked and yet Tennessee is?

They both have identical records so help me understand why dysfunctional exhibit (A) holds more water than exhibit (B)?
Auburn scored more points on a better team than Tennessee?
As a DAWG fan and holding an independent perspective on such matters it’s blatantly obvious to me the the media is propping up Tennessee once again for an epic meltdown.

The ones that allow teams entry into a playoff to be playing in the 2nd week of January seem important.
Also, fair or not, the early ones that bias the future ones also seem at least mildly interesting.

I watched Aaron Murray’s breakdown of UT’s QB, and honestly they look pretty good.

I think Auburn is being undervalued right now and should be ranked. They have top 20 talent on their team. I also think its going to be hard for pollsters to rank enough SEC teams. Adding 2 ranked teams to conf I think pollsters are struggling with so many already ranked and this undervalues teams like Auburn who might deserve being ranked.

According to one system UT’s opponent is ranked 95 places higher than Auburn’s .

Chattanooga would probably beat Alabama A&M by 4 TD’s. It doesn’t matter though. Nothing that happened this past Saturday for Auburn/Tennessee will have any impact on the rest of the season.

Well, Georgia Tech didn’t beat the higher rank team then Georgia.
