Coming from?

I mean it's insane what these players are getting paid. I don't see it lasting. It can't last

I don’t really think schools are giving out millions. It’s more so beat writers saying that every kid they missed on had to be asking for millions, speculating or starting rumors. Etc.

It's always been there.

ETA

You think a human would choose to live in Tuscaloosa AL for free?

Tax code could be changed to make companies “feel it”. That would probably cap big publicly traded companies that report to shareholders. No tax write off or something to that effect.

Every team in the SEC is paying out millions to players. That's factual.

I don't think everyone is getting millions. I think LSU’s transfer haul will probably cost them $3M for 15 kids when that’s all said and done. I don’t think LSU is paying $15M for the haul.

The only player’s commanding “millions” or as it’s been speculated, are QBs.

What does Auburn offer over Alabama that would make it so Alabama needed to pay a player to get them instead of Auburn?

Only the big boys with deep pockets will survive this. That is why in 2026 might become a one conference league with the top teams playing it similar to the NFL.

Not true. On3 listed Auburn an OT for $1.7M and $1.9M for a quarterback.

That’s On3 trying to set a market for their evaluation tool that was composed by recruiting guys and Bobby Burton. Or are they posting actual amounts paid now?

Correct, most guys are getting less than seven figures. But the teams are paying out millions for their roster every season.

And you are not getting 15 good players for $3,000,000. The going rate for a potential starter at WR, for example, is $300-400,000 in the SEC. That's not Ryan Williams level, just a guy who can start. Williams is certainly a seven figure guy for next year.
